  1. Hey there demon. I am pretty familiar with those bodies of water. You will be impressed if you know how to fish deep. White River on the other hand changes daily. They should be done letting the water out for now. I think youll do good with a can of corn on white river for trout. Unless your a fly fisherman then i cant help you. We dont do much trout fishing cause they are fairly easy if you know some spots. I just use a spinning rod with light line with a split shot a bit above the hook say 6-8 inches. Then use a small barbed or barbless worm hook and load it down with corn. They love it. Bass will be offshore on bull shoals depends on where you are on the lake. I have a few hotspots but the fishing gets tough this time o year. Later, clint

Something else i would like to add. Dont burn yourself out. Fishing is awesome and i would every day if i could, but you try to work, spend time with family, mow, all those other things, and be a tourney angler and somethings gonna start to fall apart. If your the next kvd it wont matter but if your like me and just always gonna be a weekend warrior then just relax and let it come to you. I have a bad tendency to put the cart before the horse.
  3. I think the penalty is bs. When did bass fishermen turn into a bunch of wimps. Everybody needs to man up and quit whining. This country is so demasculated these days. Biffle has every right to be mad. I would be kicking a little whiny butt if it was my tourney. Jeez guys grow up.
  4. Heya shadmaster where you hail from? I live about 35 minutes from greers and have a 19ft skeeter with a 150? PM me and let me know some info
  5. Im fishing a pearl white super fluke right now with a 4 hook. Weightless and killin em. Been having 60 degree water now. They arent on the bank yet though. Best fish caught in 20-30 feet of water. You catch em chasing minnows and throw it in there. Tears em up.

Yeah the shoulders were about to give out. I was using my chronarch mg reel and a carrot stick rod. This combo weighs under 10 ounces. thats the only thing that saved me from being crippled. haha.

I did the exact same thing last year about this time on bull shoals. Fewer fish but if you can catch em getting ready to spawn and see em chasing the baitfish on the top ol flukey will wear em out. It was the pearl white color. Also if you dont know how to rig one be sure and stick the hook barely under the back skin of the lure to one side or the other. Gives it a little more action. Also would reccommend fluorocarbon line if your using a limber pole. With the mono i seem to lose more fish on the hookset. You need it to hook up when you set the hook. Later, Clint

Went fishing this saturday for about five hours. I was throwing a zoom fluke and absolutely tore their heads off. I am guessing that I caught around 60-70 Bass. The smallmouth are getting ready to spawn and were hanging out, eating around the edges of flats. My best day ever on the water. Rained on me the whole time and they were just killing that lure. Hope your fishing trips are as good as this one. BTW it was only me so that will tell you just how good it was.
  9. Wow that sounds great. I would definitely rather go to a fishing school than a guide service. You should offer courses with different lengths of time for each. Show how to work lures
  10. Cotton you are in for the trip of a lifetime. That lake is so awesome. I fished a tourney there last year and had never fished the lake before. We won the first day with a 15 lb 5 fish sack of brownies. I would say fish a jighead worm or jig. Also try a gitzit and a fluke. Get a map of bull shoals and read the tips. I found all these fish reading the tips on the map. Later, Clint
  11. Also when your fishing topwater baits such as a spook if the bass hits and misses you can throw the fluke right back in there and tear his head off. They think they have stunned a baitfish and cant resist eatin it up.
  12. Water temp is 47 to 50 right now. And thanks everyone for your input. I am reading and enjoying it all.
  13. Such a good dam bait. I love em. Me and my fishing partner were in a tourney on bull shoals last spring and weighed in a 5 fish 15 lb sack of brownies fishing them. White is a great color. Also weightless most of the time but if they are hitting it on the first little jerk or two use a weighted swimbait hook. With the lead on the belly.
  14. The water clarity is probably going to be non existent. They are expecting rain two days before and this thing has two rivers running into it. But the main lake where im going to start my morning should be less affected. Largemouth, and brownies
  15. Man im sorry to hear that about your dad. It kills me to see a little guy suffering. I cant imagine if my little girls had to go through something like that. It would be hard on the whole family. Cancer is a horrible disease anyway. Have lost some really important people in my life to it. I want a lesson in lipless cranks. Btw my name is Clint. Later
