Well I got my last trip to the lake in for 2009. Nice day but did not do as well as I hoped. I had fun trying.... Day started out raining then cleared up. Air Temp was around 56 to 58 degrees. Water temp was 55 to 56 degrees. Water was stained with maybe 3ft visibility. Bass was scattered a bit some still shallow and some deep. I found a nice cove and started fishing shollow with a white fluke. Man the trout loved it . I thought I was Bass fishing :-? but the trout liked what I was throwing better. Any way caught a few trout and a few nice Bass. Had a good day... Know geeting ready for ternauments for 2010. First one for me will be in 2010.

1/2 oz MegaStrike black/blue or Brown/orange jig. This year I did not get out much but I had good luck pitching senkos this year.

I carry @ least 4 different colors of one type of plastic. watermelon/red flake, GP, Black w/blueflake, Smoke and gold with redflake. Some trips I carry more color.

I have an 18ft Bass Tracker.

I mainly fish with a sliding weight however I will use a screw in weight if I was fishing grass or heavy cover.

Went fishing last week on Millerton lake in Fresno. Man was I excited to get to go fishing. Well got to my first stop @ Millerton and tied on a senko and threw it in. After about the fifth cast bam!!! Bass hits the senko and I set the hook like KVD in a bassmaster classic. Oooo the fight was on!!!! ;D Then all of a sudden rod tip popped back and nothing >. Reeled in the line and what do you know I did not do a very good job tying the knot :'(. Man that has not happen to me in years. I thought I share my store cause I am still bummed about it.

I put on 15lb P-Line on my Abu Garcia bait caster reel a month ago and did not like it. IMO. I also did not like the memory on the P-Line. I seem to have to many issues with P-Line. Then again it could have been the user. LOL!! I switched over to my pfluger set up and my other Abu Garcia set up that have trilene and seen a difference. I am not a big fan of P-Line. However that is just my opinion.

Thanks guys. fishnjohn- Milerton is one lake I have never fished. I will hope to fish the lake this year. I am only 30 min from Milerton. Maybe we can meet up this year and fish Milerton.

Just wanted to drop in and introduce myself. My name is Charles and I live in Clovis California. I have been out of the Bass fishing seen for a while and decided it is time to start back up. The lakes I fish is Pine Flat, Clear lake, California Delta, & a few others. Looking forward chatting with you guysand sharing stores. As well as getting advice on what I am doing wrong.
