They only say that because they don't get any of the money themselves. Wish there was an Amazon when I was in college. Heck about all anyone used the internet for then was chatrooms, porn and email.

Can this be right?
Could very easily be right, is this your first semester at college? They buy the books at the bookstore on campus for $100 and at the end of the semester they can sell them back there for $10-$15 or sell them online for $25-$30. What would you do? I also quickly learned and didn't buy any of my books till after the semester started and usually you can find someone that took the class the previous semester to buy one off of just as cheap on campus. Heck I even got alot of my books for nothing just borrowed them off of friends that had taken the class.

Got a question.
Looking back through old threads and reading up on things I noticed that everytime the Banjo Minnow is brought up it is shut down immediately and the poster is told not to bring it up and given a link to an old thread. Why is there a great big add on the left side of the screen for them if they are so hated? :-?

Left handed cranking reel
The Zillion may be my next reel....but I hate to get a reel that expensive in such a one dimensional speed (5:1). If i'm gonna drop that kind of 'cheddar' on that nice of a reel, I want to be able to use it for multiple application (6.3:1 probably). However, I do loooooooove to crank so maybe I will sleep on it....probably won't buy another til next year so I may have more options by then anyhow! Thanks. It's worse than you think the Zillion is 4.9:1 not 5.1

I can't say anything about you not liking the foam since that is all personal preference, but to say they aren't as light as other rods that is just assinine and looking for something negative. Next time try comparing the same rod and not a XH 7'9" to a 6'6" M. Pinky, it was only his opinion, if you think he got it wrong, that's cool too. But your retort might have been a little more polite. Hey Pinky try putting a Dobyns Champion Extreme in your hand and then get back to me. I don't have to tell what I think I can show what I know. I don't have a Dobyn's to compare, but I can't imagine I would like it (or any Loomis) any better than my Kistler. :-X Not trying to be overly aggressive but I do get a little overexagerated when someone makes a statement off of feeling rather than fact. You opinion on a vehicle...
They are built on the same frame and have the same towing capacity the only difference is the engine performance mods that the Lightning has. In the F-150 line the heaviest weight rating that Ford had was a special 7700 edition that had, of course, a 7700 lb. towing capacity and a beefed up front suspension designed to handle the addition of a snowplow. The lightning is the 5.4 supercharged and uses the same internal components in the transmission that the pwerstroke diesel uses. In 2003 the cargo capacity actually increased on the Lightning from 800 to 1400 because of a few suspension upgrades but the towing capacity stay the same at 5000. Pirate you could tow any fishing boat you want with this truck and not worry about it. Even the heaviest Ranger Z21 Comanche and Skeeter 22i are under 2000 lbs. Fully loaded at max capacities for weight they will still be under 3500.

Rage Tail
That may be one of the most asinine statements I have ever read on this forum. Burley before he became an expert and moved to southwest bygod. I don't know who that was in the video, but they can't fish for chit. He was complaing about the frog not being weedless, well it won't be if you tie it on with that big azz useless swivel in front of it. Heck he may have even caught the fish if he would have set the hook!!!!
-
Yeah, my trailer will handle that...
There are more pics in the link that Burley put up. The log is only about 10' long and if they had centered it over the axles and side to side it wouldn't have been a problem. Alomost the entire log is in front of the axles. That trailer has two 3500-4000 lb axles on it and would have held along with the truck.

Apparently that whole superrace thing didn't work out
What about the other wife, who objected to it. Only to find out that he wasn't the father of his own kids that she had been cheating on him long before.

- Should wounded soldiers be forced to pay?
Apparently not. Guys - this was posted by Burley to see what kind of a rise he could get. Mission accomplished. Moving on... So it had nothing to do with an actual proposal and Burley wondering what peoples thoughts were on it? Senators slam plan for wounded vets to use private insurance * Obama team considering plan in which vets would use private insurance for wounds * No official proposal to create such a program has been announced publicly * Veterans organizations have been lobbying Congress to oppose the idea * Lawmakers say plan would be rejected if it goes to Congress WASHINGTON (CNN) Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki confirmed Tuesday that the Obama administration is considering a controversial plan to make veterans pay for treatment of service-related injuries with private insurance. Lawmakers say they'd reject a proposal to make veterans pay for treatment of war wounds with private insurance. But the proposal would be "dead on arrival" if it's sent to Congress, Sen. Patty Murray, D-Washington, said. Murray used that blunt terminology when she told Shinseki that the idea would not be acceptable and would be rejected if formally proposed. Her remarks came during a hearing before the Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs about the 2010 budget. No official proposal to create such a program has been announced publicly, but veterans groups wrote a pre-emptive letter last week to President Obama voicing their opposition to the idea after hearing the plan was under consideration. The groups also cited an increase in "third-party collections" estimated in the 2010 budget proposal something they said could be achieved only if the Veterans Administration started billing for service-related injuries. Asked about the proposal, Shinseki said it was under "consideration." "A final decision hasn't been made yet," he said. Currently, veterans' private insurance is charged only when they receive health care from the VA for medical issues that are not related to service injuries, like getting the flu. Charging for service-related injuries would violate "a sacred trust," Veterans of Foreign Wars spokesman Joe Davis said. Davis said the move would risk private health care for veterans and their families by potentially maxing out benefits paying for costly war injury treatments. A second senator, North Carolina Republican Richard Burr, said he agreed that the idea should not go forward. "I think you will give that up" as a revenue stream if it is included in this April's budget, Burr said. Murray said she'd already discussed her concerns with the secretary the previous week. "I believe that veterans with service-connected injuries have already paid by putting their lives on the line," Murray said in her remarks. "I don't think we should nickel and dime them for their care." Eleven of the most prominent veterans organizations have been lobbying Congress to oppose the idea. In the letter sent last week to the president, the groups warned that the idea "is wholly unacceptable and a total abrogation of our government's moral and legal responsibility to the men and women who have sacrificed so much." The groups included The American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, and Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. At the time, a White House spokesman would neither confirm nor deny the option was being considered.- Watchmen
