Got a question.

Recommended Posts

Looking back through old threads and reading up on things I noticed that everytime the Banjo Minnow is brought up it is shut down immediately and the poster is told not to bring it up and given a link to an old thread.

Why is there a great big add on the left side of the screen for them if they are so hated?

:-?

The reason the threads get deleted/locked are because every weekend when they run those informercials, someone starts a thread about them. That's the point of SEARCHING before making a thread. That's what the mods are trying to encourage by deleting/locking redundant threads. And now we've got this thread wondering why BR is accepting them as advertisers.  ::)

Also, keep in mind when you search you only see the locked ones. I'm pretty sure there are dozens of ones that got deleted.

There's more to it than that. By that logic, every new thread on a Revo, Yo-Zuri line or 100 other things would get locked.

First up, the "Adds By Google" are not direct sponsors. Space is

purchased by Google.

Very few topics are "Off Limits" and they are listed in FAQs. Please

take the time to read FAQs, it will only take a minute.

Regarding "redundancy": To some extent that's true. An example

would be the Senko. We don't feel there is anything left that hasn't

been written. Glenn has listed an entire page of links on every aspect

of fishing this bait.

Other topics are listed in FAQs for a variety of reasons, but most

result in bashing verses defending and lead to arguments that are

disrespectful. Some people probably have had some success with

the Kick-Tail Minnow while others think it's a scam. We're not going

to re-hash those same old arguments over and over again.

The guy that brought the bait to tv invented a system. a means to deliver a bait in such a way that the lure appears to swim. The lure was invented originally in china yes china (same as many on the market) the system of nose hooking the bait was his idea. does it work yes the system of nose hooking a bait and creating a hinge point does cause the water to create the side to side motion of swimming fish. it is like a flag on a pole with wind blowing. When you shake the rod as you pull the lure it accentuates that motion. The new design of the jointed lure is this guys idea because the china lure took some technique to make it work right. The cork screw nose hinge is an old idea and the rubber bands for the weedguard is the same thing dentists use for braces. The new weighted eyes where invented by gatortail worms that has been motified with a dropshot clip and made from lead (they use them for streamers) which is also his idea or invention. with any lure or system it is up to the fishermen and skill level as to how well it works.  :)
