Flippin Bait Questions
I pitch jigs to any cover I can get them through....trees, weeds, cane, whatever else. Once the surface is matted or the weeds are a bit more choking I go to a small t-rigged craw. So I guess my rule of thumb is I fish the jig until I'm annoyed with getting it snagged up or it not getting through the mat. I then turn to the T-rig. Weight to me is not as much an issue b/c I have different weighted sinkers for my t-rig and jigs.

Peg Or Not To Peg
bobber stoppers for $1 I peg whenever I'm pitching to cover like cane, bullrush, heavy weeds, timber. I don't peg my worms and other things that will be going to minimal cover

Spinnerbaits
Throw the spinnerbait in chopped up or dirty water Senko in clear calm water. In each of those situations, the lure listed will catch more

Kvd 1.5 Rust Problems??
haven't used my KVD cranks yet, but I found that my Strike King Pro Model Cranks would rust a bit. I usually swap those hooks as they are rust magnets (not the same as the KVD ones) but eventually the split rings will rust to and I just use them until I need to switch them. Hopefully the KVD one's don't rust that easy?? At least it's fixable with new hooks and rings and they aren't too expensive (except the KVD hooks, they are expensive!)

Wacky Hook Size
I like the wide gap finesse hooks like gamakatsu makes (same sizes as above, 1/0, 2/0)

Need Help On Making The Braid To Mono Switch!
I've used 20# maxima flouro for clear water pitching in the past. It works well, never broke on me. This year I will probably stick with Braid though for pitching. Me and my fishing buddy caught the same amount of fish while he was using straight braid on his plastic pitching rig as I did in clear water. So I will still keep a lighter rig for football head jigs and worms/craws with 17-20# flouro. But otherwise I'm sticking with the braid for pitching plastics. I've heard good things about BPS XPS flouro, Trilene professional flouro, I use the Maxima and the Stren cheap stuff (can't afford $30 a spool everytime!) and it worked fine for what I paid for it.

Baitcasters: Handles, Why? Spools, Why Not?
spinning reels are just up side down and you can buy a 2nd spool, but it would be nice to get a spare for free.

Whats Your Preference In A Worm/softplastic Rod
I have a 6'10" Fenwick MH Fast action that I use for my worms or general purpose plastics. Its ok, it held up great last summer.

Question For Braided Line Users
I use some scissors I got for $2. They work best with some tension on the line.

Lipless Crank Rod?
Nice, good to here it from another person, I have been meaning on really putting some hours in with it this summer. I used it a bunch last summer, the success I had with it dictates more time with it! haha.

Senko: Is it Evil?
I think I said earlier in the post I use the senko more as a follow up bait. Prefer to find fish on a crank and run around the spot more quickly. But if I have a fish follow my crank to the boat I find that you can throw the senko behind it and it will 180 and take the senko....That's how I use it. I prefer to pitch jigs or throw cranks/spinnerbaits over waiting for a senko to sink all day.

Wacky Hook Size
I like 1/0. I've even used a 2/0 hook and even little bass didn't care. But I usually go 1/0. I think some hooks are thin wire for this application and may straighten on you when fishing structure. It is good/bad b/c you may lose a fish...but you can unsnag your lure if stuck on a dock pile haha.

Lipless Crank Rod?
I fish a MH 7'0 David Fritts Glass crankbait rod for my lipless cranks (and actually just about all my cranks as I'm not a pro angler I can't have 3 crankbait rods haha). I find the MH helps to rip the lure from the grass with its back bone, but plenty of give in the tip to soften the force on the trebles when playing a fish. Works pretty good, I need to fish it more this summer....its a goal.

Is White An Unpopular Soft Plastic Color?
I like white spinnerbait skirts! Otherwise I stick to more realistic colors in clear water (brown green) and black in dirty water. In my attempt to keep things simple, white does not get involved.

How Do You Cast Small Light Crankbaits Far??
I try to find crankbaits that weigh a 1/2oz but are only 2" long. Xcalibur makes a Square bill that is 1/2 oz but tiny profile 2" crank. Casts a mile but looks tiny.

Senko: Is it Evil?
Senkos catch bass. It's amazing how many times I get a following bass on my crankbait and will never hit it. But I throw a senko overtop of its head and it turns and eats it. Every time!

Line!!?!?!?
Buy some cheap line and back all your reels so your new line is about 1.25-1.5 casts long. That will save a bunch of money and line. Fish braid when you can (ie jigs, frogs, whatever else) b/c as mentioned above it can last all season. I like Power Pro. Try the Stren Flourocast, it's like $10 for 200 yards. I'm sure you get what you pay for...but I know it works b/c I've used it and the price is right.
