  1. Candlewood is a good size lake. If you want to come get a feel for it, you may need more then a day to explore. The license thing is crazy and if there was any way around it, i'd fish somewhere else next year as well!
  2. Nice piece of advise there! My buddies and I are headed out to Northern PA for 3 days of guided muskie fishing next weekend, so hopefully I can contribute to a thread such as this in the near future!
  3. Lake Winchester. That started Pike in there about 14 years ago, and this is the first one I had personally seen come out of the water. I've gotten a couple a bit larger then this out of the Bantam water system, but not in quite a few years. This one was really nice to see!
  4. Spinner landed this one for me on Labor Day:
  5. Doesn't seem too far fetched. I caught a 3 pound brown bullhead on a T-1 Terminator this summer, so I guess these species enjoy the same foods all around together, lol.
  6. Bantam river/lake system is loaded with Pike! I got a great one on Labor Day this year out of Lake Winchester, where they were introduced about 15 years ago. Nice Pike, even if that is the wrong pic.
  7. Went out on Tuesday afternoon at about 32 degrees and windy......man was it cold! Worth the trip though as I was able to grab my first fish of the season. Not a bass, but it's a start. Slow rolling a chartruese T1 along the top of the upcoming weedbed in the back of a local pond.

This is a good thread you guys have started here. I'm going on a Muskie trip with a couple buddies this fall and the guide recommends that we bring polarized glasses. I bought a pair of cheap Strike King one's and can already see the difference on the water. May look into a nicer pair before the trip though.
  9. Yeah, i'd have to say any way I can get them. If they're going for just one bait, then that's cool, and if it takes a variety, then so be it. I'd prefer to boat one after another on one bait though.
  10. Congrats man! Keep it up!
  11. Welcome. Think it will be cool for you and your son to learn together. Good luck!
  12. Welcome to the boards!
  13. Great looking fish guys. That Pickerel on the first page is huge! Tomorrow will be the first day out for me and my buddy. Hopefully i'll come home with some pictures to share!
