Although I recently had a field day on a northern pike topwater bite, fall is a great time for BIG bucktail spinners and BIG jerkbaits.

My "favorite" fall pike lure, and my "most successful" fall pike lure are not one and the same.

Our most successful fall lure is not on the poll list, which by a long shot is a Jig & Dead Minnow.

And you can never go wrong with spoons.  I like gold

Spinner landed this one for me on Labor Day:

Lake Winchester. That started Pike in there about 14 years ago, and this is the first one I had personally seen come out of the water. I've gotten a couple a bit larger then this out of the Bantam water system, but not in quite a few years. This one was really nice to see!
