i was just wondering if anyone knows what kind of wire is on the new lucky craft spinner baits....seems kinda rediculous to 13 to 15 dollars for a spinnerbait with a regular stainless wire...it would be nice if they were titanium like the terminators but the color looks different...im thinkin of ordering 4 or 5 to try, i would just like to know first...and why would they charge that much for a spinnerbait with a stainless wire?? terminatiors are only 6 to 7 dollars with titanium

when wacky rigging a senko do you guys like to run the hook right through the middle of the bait or does it get better action if it is hooked in smooth part thats offset from the center a bit?? i have never really given senkos a chance and figured i would give them a good try this year..any other tips about fishing them would be awesome... and your favorite colors?? thanks!!

thats actually an awesome deal...the glasses retail anywere from 100-150 dollars....i have some i won in a door prize raffle at one of out tx's on claytor....they are pretty good lenses but a lil uncomfortable after a while...take the foam gasket out and u will probably like them better

hello, im new to br..i have been reading the posts and find them very resourcefull!! my main reason for joining is i need some information on a new lake i will be fishing some this year....i have a tournament on lake norman april 26 and have never fished it.

catt your story reminded me of a federation tournament my brother and i fished on buggs island/ kerr reservoir on the va nc border...it was horrible...we were dealing with 6 to 8 foot swells...the first on we speared just got us wet....the second one ripped the front locater and the locator/ gps out of the brackets and pulled all of the wires out of them...the rod strap that was holding the rods down on the drivers side ended up in my brothers lap and he got hooked in neck...we had to bail water with a small cooler and it was freezing..i think it was march seventh last year....we nearly sunk his custom norris craft...i think thats the closest ive ever been to having hypothermia...we were able to make it back to launch ramp though....we hit the swells coming around the mouth of grassy creek...alot of other guys had similar problems that day....scarey!!! i cant imagine being pinned up against a cliff like you were!!

You don't. Once you commit it to the trash heap, leave it there! jax....that must have been one crowded lake...even if you and your partner were not fishing the tournament, those guys should not have been on top of you guys like that.. i hate being cut off..(fish and sink brush piles, but dont cut some one off to get to them.)..that last remark was not directed toward you jax...

everyone has bad tournaments...no big deal..it really sucks not getting in the money

go and fish it at night this summer...if you cant catch a good fish doing that, somthing is deff wrong.. ;

They do have laws for that. It's called theft by deception and/or organized crime and depending on how much they steal from a tournament, it could be a felony. Just ask the two guys that are still sitting in jail here in Ky. I realize that there are laws...but none are specific to fishing tournaments, so alot of the time...those guys get off easy...the team tournament trail i fish caught some guys a few years back..they had photos of them retrieving the fish because someone else found the fish tied up and told the tournament director...the guys were kicked off the trail..but they have won alot of money and i think they even won a truck and a boat in another tourney...they were banned but havent been prosecuted for anything...i just wish there was more that could be done to prevent the cheating...

sinking brush is not cheating...cheating is those a-holes that catch fish before a tx and go back and get them in the tx...cheating is those idiots that cant catch a fish off the bed, so they fowl hook them instead...and lets not forget the guys that meet their buddies on the lake during a tx and get fish from them.....sinking brush is hardly cheating...especially compared to the guys that do the crap i just mentioned...i wish they would make laws against it so they could be prosecuted...

wood is cover.... structure is structural changes in the floor or bottom of the lake...for example...points,drop offs, ledges, creek/river channels, blow outs,flats ect. ect...cover is any kinda of cover that may be on the structure...a bass can use wood as cover...so its well...cover..brush, docks, grass,stumps,boats,boat houses....
