  1. throw a buzzbait early and late and a fluke anytime...if its like any other small lakes or ponds i have ever fished...you will catch more than just the first one...see if you can find some zoom fluke threads...throw it out and jerk jerk ...reel ...count to 3 then jerk jerk reel...count to three ect ect...if that doesnt work mix it up a little...try a smokin shad or pearl white color...cheap and effective
  2. i built my OWN structure on my OWN ponds. i dont tourney fish there. Its pretty sad when a post not making fun of you in anyway, just laughing because what u said was funny. Then u start asking bout my drivers license and puberty. Whats next UR MOM JOKES? if you want, that can be arranged....i know all kinds of good "yo momma" jokes...lol...chillout there ringer...just a joke..ive been refered to as team pampers before here and im 26 lol...
  3. Wouldn't that be unfair to other competitors? Ok for personal use I guess, but for a tournament I would call it cheating. anyone can do it where its legal...its not against tournament rules...how is it cheating...the department of game and inland fisheries build reefs, rockpiles, brushpiles and several other types of cover...some of them are marked with fish attractor buoys, some arent...
  4. this debate has already been discussed in another thread...read it...you will find out that you will never win this argument..this coming from someone who was just telling us about his structure and to be sure you put it where you want it haha.... let me know when you get your drivers liscense and you can find out if you can beat me...lol...or better yet...when you hit puberty ;D
  5. : : : HAHAHAHA!! 2134635446534 trips later and about 5646431324 tanks of gas.. ;D if you spent anytime on the water you would realize that one rock can hold bass....laugh all you want...keep laughing when your donating your money in tournaments to guys that build their own piles...of rocks, piles, or brush :
  6. making rock piles is also easy..you can just go to the shore and load the boat up with rocks and sink them where ever....the only problem is you have to sink a whole crap load of them to actually make a pile..
  7. these dont float...do you guys just throw em out and reel em in like a buzz bait??
  8. just think about what type of forage the lure is supposed to imitate...if it does a good job of that, then it will catch bass... although some walleye cb's are made for trolling, they will also work...
  9. what part of the river are you going to?
  10. i think that one takes the cake! lol..thats awful...
  11. is south holston a good lake??its about 1 hr and 15 min from where i live and i have been wanting to try it....any good largemouth or is it mostly smallies?
  12. i agree! it also lets people that want to fish alone compete, its easier on the fish and alot less hassle at weigh in time..
  13. talkin about buddys stupid moments....the first time my buddy took his new ranger out he had a good day, got back to the ramp, loaded the boat...the driver of the truck pulled out and up throught the parking lot...thats all cool, but they did this without trimming the motor up haha...poor lower unit...he said he felt sick after that one lol...i felt bad for him too
  14. yes i ment ten fish for two people...the sad thing was that there were two tournaments going on ;one with 8 fish limit and the other with 10 fish limit...so instead of making it easier for everyone fishing both tournaments you had to weigh in two times...this is longer that the bass had to stay in the bag with little or no oxygen....they could have easily changed it and no one would have protested..who knows..i guess everyone likes different things...i just think its too hard on the fish..imagine if it were in the summer and the water was 80 degrees +
  15. I just wanted to get some opinions about tournaments with a ten fish limit...our club tournaments are ten fish...and we had a relay for life tournament this weekend that was ten fish....alot of the fish didnt make it...i think its just to many fish to have in a live well...alot of people were not happy about the limit. what do you guys think?
  16. im from va...i fish claytor lake...its the lake thats dams the newriver in pulaski county....alot of people target smallmouth here...you can catch them when they are spawning...here they spawn on the mainlake alot...just fish rocky flats if you can find them...you have to commit to it though..its not the kind of thing that you can just go make a few casts and expect to catch fish...if you get your bait infront of them they will eat it....far more aggressive than largemouth on the bed
  17. i wasnt paying attention yesterday and got in a hurry to cull fish, i threw a fish out of the boat with a cull bobber in its mouth....the sad thing is i did the same thing again about two hours later...haha...and the fish just swim down with them in there mouth..i can see the look on someones face now when they catch one of those bass...they are gonna be sayin "wonder what moron did this" haha
  18. show him whats up..
  19. sounds like your better off with out him...you have a boat...if you cant find a partner fish by yourself...that way you dont have to worry about someone else ruining your day...
  20. nice boat!! your gonna love it!!
  21. im not claiming to be a pro...i never said i was good enough to be a pro...and by the way..i was comparing weights of fish my and my partner caught to that of the pros..thats it..believe what you want..bill dance is not a pro and kvd prob throws a crankbait more in a day than he does in a month of his fishing shows...kvd is at the top for a reason...i was just trying to let people know that these guys are just normal everyday people and they do the same thing we do on the water...they probably just do it a bit better because they have alot more practice/time on the water... and about the weights....its simple math....i dont have the time or resources to go pro....if i did i would try...im not sayin i would be able to make a career of it either...but if you look at the weights it takes to get a check on tour...i dont see what the big deal is..do the math...these guys arent super human...alot of people dont realize that you need to be a good speaker to get strong sponsors also...there is alot more to it than just the fishing.. i guess i should just say how great and superior the pros are to us lowly weekend anglers and admit that i will never be good enough to fish like them :
  22. why does everyone wanna be a buncha haters....who said anything about teaching kvd to fish a crankbait? grow up already...if you cant fish thats your problem...dont hate on me because i say what i think...if i get on you guys nerves just tell me and i will quit posting...just because someone is on tv does not mean they are gods gift to bass fishing...spend some time on the water around them and you will realize that...you dont know me...so dont judge me...
  23. i always use a net in tournaments... and i may be mistaken, but i think that the flw pros are aloud to use nets, and most of them do so...anything that can help you get more fish in the boat in a tournament is worth it....there are several good nets on the market that have a big loop and a handle that slide in to make it more compact...i see no reason not to use one...several times i have netted a bass and the hook fell out of its mouth as soon as i got it in the net... go buy one!!!!
  24. just find spots near the launch site...on my home lake....two really productive spots are in the area of the two marinas that the most tournaments go out of....i guess you could say its kinda like fishing a stocked pond haha...i know all of the fish dont stay...but alot of them will stay for at least a week...plus you know that thes fish are vulnerable and they will bite..
  25. it would not have mattered...we caught all of the fish we ended up weighing off the bed...we took turns catching them...either of us could have caught any of the fish..we just thought it would be selfish if one of us hawged all the fun haha....go on the flw site and look at their weights...no big deal really...the thing is, alot of people are good enough to compete with the pros, but not everyone has the money or sponsers to do it...it takes alot of time and a fair amount of money...two things that i dont have enough of right now....between working full time and being a fulltime student, not much time is left for all of that.... love the story about "crappie fisherman have the right of way" lol....thats great...inside jokes are allways the best!! while that one guy was a jerk...the others where very friendly..i just dont want to give the impression that they are all jerks...because most of them are not....
