dropshot...Breaking line?
wowzerz... 4lb test?? haha i cant seem to make myself go below 8lb...i have heard that you shouldnt use a palomar knot on flurocarbon because it will cut itself, but i never use a palomar with it anyway..but you are not using fluro so it shouldnt matter...i would switch knots anyway and see what happens...try a cinch knot

How many times will an average fish be caught per year
some fish are more vulnerable than others, so some will be caught more than others, i used an article for a source for one of my papers for school about this...the experiment took place over the course of 20 years i think..i will try to find the link so you guys can read it..it a really good article just found the link www.aces.uiuc.edu/news/stories/news4747.htm

what is your favorite post-spawn bait?
- 18.5 lb bass
while keeping a few small bass wont hurt anything i think people should practice catch and release..especially when it comes to trophy bass..the genes of those fish need to be passed along, if someone is out catching fish to eat, why would they fish for bass anyway? there are plenty of fish out there that are better to eat. bass anglers have done more for the population of bass than anyone, we catch and release, fish are stocked at big tournaments, and we have alot of conservation programs out there..these are all to make the sport better for everyone. If you want to keep your fish, your right, that is your business, but if every bass angler had that attitude, bass fishing would not be what it is today. Its just being considerate to the resources and the efforts others have put forth to make the sport better.- what is your favorite post-spawn bait?
its cool seeing the different baits people like and the different areas they live in..trick worm and senko seem to be popular around here also- megabait charlie
fbl ....does anyone around here cary them or will i have to order em?- megabait charlie
looks awesome!! i would fish it the way it was fished in the video for starters...man ima have to get some of those!!- Sunglasses
i have a pair of wiley x and a pair of oakleys...the oakleys are way better in my opinion...wiley x are not comfortable at all and the oakleys seem to have better lenses.. like the guys above said try a bunch of different ones before you buy...dont skimp- anyone know how tungsten weights are made?
my father has a metal lathe i made some brass weights on it one time just killing times...i know its not very practical but they turned out good...i guess ya just gotta shell out the extra money haha...- tungsten bullet weights
why not just put the crawfish juice on the plastic your fishing intstead of the weight...i agree the yum weights suck- which plastics and how to fish 'em
what kind of water are you fishing?? water temp? clarity?- Good deal or not!?
sounds like a good deal as long as the power heads are in good shape and the hull is solid...really need more details to determine what the boat is actually worth- megabait charlie
what are they?can you post a pic or a link- anyone know how tungsten weights are made?
not looking for a led alternative...just trying to save some dollars...haha guess i will not be pouring any- anyone know how tungsten weights are made?
does anyone know how tungsten weights are made? and is it possible to pour your own?if so that would be great considering the outrageous cost of these things- KERR
if you fish any areas where the water is murky...haha the whole lake is murky sometimes...try a white spinnerbait with a chartreuse trailoer or a chatter bait in the same color..worked really well for me this time last year- tungsten bullet weights
just checked bass pro shops because i thought they might be cheaper, but they are not...3/8 are 4 for 8 dollars and change, 1/2 ounce are 3 for 8 dollars and change...the 1 ounce and 1 1/2 ounce are on sale but you only get two per pack...hopefully they will get cheaper as they gain popularity and more are produced...i use river 2 sea tungsten dropshot weights because they are alot smaller and i rarely get hung with them...they are a buck each but they are worth it to me- what is your favorite post-spawn bait?
I was wondering what some of you guys best/favorite post-spawn baits are... i like a shakey head and dropshot worm...- what is the deal with senkos???
the bait catches fish, if it didnt they would not be so popular.. i always try to be open minded when it comes to bass fishing, if your not, that could be a disadvantage.look at the shakey head worm and swimbaits...those were new techniques a few years ago and now they are a mainstay in many bass fishermans tackle arsenal, just like the senko..if you dont like them thats fine, just make sure your not costing yourself fish because of an opinion- Why so many lures??
i normally always have a few certain lures on spinning rod- dropshot rig spinning rod- shakey head spinning rod- wacky rig casting rod- jig and chunk casting rod- jerkbait...usually a pointer casting rod- c-rig casting rod- whatever the bait monkey made me buy on the last trip to the tackle shop- Night colors.
i would say if there is a full moon on a clear night, color would probably matter more than it would if it where a night with no moon and it was really dark out...water clarity probably has somthing to do with it also...i use the same stuff i use in the day time...sometimes a white spinnerbait at night will out fish a black one..- How Big is this Bass?
i agree...it doesnt look like he made any effort to match the natural look of the fish..just looks like he painted it from a picture out of a mag or somthing...kinda fake looking...nice fish though...my guess would be 6 -7 lb- help with losing fish
lol that would have been good to know at the beggining of the post...can you find a location closer to the water so you dont have to pull the fish up so far?- Your thoughts on this idea
could you maybe make the front bait somthing with three sets of trebs and take the back treb off and tie to that eye? seems like if you tied near a hook the line would just get tangled in the hooks... - 18.5 lb bass
