  1. Hey guys (& gals), I live in a small town southwest of Kalamazoo. I have 36 lakes within 6 miles of my house and several miles of river. I own a tunnel hull with a jet and fish the rivers 99% of the time. I did a little pearch fishing on St. Claire a couple weeks ago, but only managed to catch a couple hundred smallmouths. Must have been using the wrong color???? ;D Launched my jet for the first time the other night. The rivers around here are still very high and smoking fast. I didn't fish much, but I caught 5 largemouths on a buzzbait. Couldn't get a strike on anything else.
  2. Reel good, my arms are twitching to get back over there! Nice fish.
  3. This is a great product and I have them on all of my rods. I found out about them last year because my best friend is sponsored by them.
  4. I have a G3 also, but it's the dull green/camo color. I purchase "Kaboom" from the dollar store and it works great. The only problem might be if you have the gloss paint, which might dull.
  5. Last weekend there was a lot of wood just north of Metro, but it blew further south later in the day. I just missed a couple of 4x4's that were floating together. I'm guessing that it's gone by now. I have a close friend that is on the water right now (4/24/09 11:45 am) and it's very muddy. It the wind changes this afternoon and cleans up the water you'll have agood weekend.
  6. I live in southwest Michigan where I have 36 lakes within 6 miles of my driveway. I also have several MILES of river available. In 06' I traded in my bass boat and purchased a jet rig, so I tend to fish rivers about 90% of the time. My fish of choice is the smallmouth. I have a 17 yr old son and a 13 yr old daughter, both of which were potty trained in a boat! Anyway, if your ever in the area and want to try out some great river fishing give me a shout.
  7. With the sun being out today and tomorrow the fish will be on. I was there last week and the water was 46-50 degrees. Take tubes with 1/4 and 3/8 jig heads. Make sure that you take a few with rattles. You can take a jerkbait, but if the water warms up a little more there is no since adding stress to your arms. It will be bad enough reeling them in!!!!!!!
