great responses, I have looked at boxers in the past, but didn't know how well theyd do with my cats. I guess its all in how you raise the puppy though. One of my good friends has a huge pittbull that is the most gentle thing ever around cats. I think I have narrowed it down to either a lab,golden,German shorthair, or possibly even a boxer if I can find one in my area. I dont see many at all around here.

that's awesome, my best friend has a 2 year old weimaraner and I cant get over how good that dog is with people and other animals. I don't want a dog I have to worry about when people are around or if someone wants to pet it.

Wow thanks guys, I have always been interested in heelers since my grandfather is a rancher. He too told me they would go crazy if they dont have a "purpose" or aren't worked or worked with. I want a dog I can take everywhere from walking the canals to camping up in the sierras. My number one concern is my cats. Do any of you guys with these herding breeds have cats around them? and RW, my mom actually mentioned getting a Corgi. I know very little about them other than their height lol.

I am fixing to get my first dog, after hearing every excuse from my mom why NOT to get one. She finally wants to get one also. I was wondering if anyone has experience with Queensland heelers or blue heelers. Also considering Labs and Retrievers.

the whiskers dont sting, the spine on the fin is what nails ya. And it sucks. I will have to keep this in mind next time.

Black widows suck man. When I was in 8th grade I was bit on the leg by one (they said either black widow or brown recluse). I woke up and I had an oval shape on the entire length of my leg which was bright red and raised up about 1/8th of an inch, and was SUPER hot to the touch. That doctor visit sucked.

Next week has me a bit worried though, going up against the vikings. Adrian Peterson and Brett Favre. Should be a good game.

It's about time I can watch a game without being sick to my stomach. Shaun Hill had me on the edge of my seat, and of course the HAWG frank gore.

Hey guys, I have an Abu 5000 round reel on a walmart Ugly stick 7' medium action. I use it to do alot of striper fishing from bridges,canals and alot of spillways. I throw mostly cut bait and plugs. This thing just doubles over and I cant get the casting distance id like at all. I was wondering if someone can recommend me a rod with a nice backbone that can handle this stuff. I cant afford to spend alot of paper on one so the cheaper the better!

I actually haven't seen one episode of rescue me. Dennis Leary is the friggen man and I have no idea why I never got into it.

With all of this talk about about TV series, I had to see if anyone else watches this show? I have never followed a show religiously until the first season of SOA. I cant get enough of it.

hey lite, you said you are a shore fisherman. Have you had much luck with live minnows/shiners from the shore? I dont plan on doing it everytime I fish, I would like to try it though.
