Skeeter, I was messing with the drag right now and when I loosen the drag and engage the spool It is perfect. I only get the tight feeling when the drag is tightened. Like I said, after I engage the spool and feel that tightness, I can give the handle a fast flick and it will click a second time and "free up" completely. (when the drag is tightened)

The reel is used, bought it from a member here. I was debating on getting it professionally cleaned and lubed. Guess I should. Otherwise the reel is very smooth.

well actually, Its not even mounted on a rod or spooled with line. I just got it in the mail today and it was just something I noticed while messing with it. I was just wondering if this was common, or if something is loose or what not.

I purchased a Curado 201b and had a question. When I engage the button (like to cast it) then re-engage to reel, it has a slower feeling when I reel, but if I flick the handle quickly I hear a second little click (the button doesnt move up anymore) and it spins alot easier and faster. What is this? EDIT: I was just messing with it again, and it seems like when I slowly turn the handle to engage the spool it does it.

my tires must be old, They dont even have that kind of DOT number that I can see! I really do need tires though, these suckers are so bald and cracked. We call em Maypops.

Just saw this post. Good shot dude. My dad was heavily into crop dusting here in central ca, and the north valley. The sheep farmers used to hire him and his buddy with his chopper to hunt coyote on the farmers land. Shotgun mounted to the skid! Coyotes will DESTROY a herd of small livestock like that if kept un-checked.

Hey guys. I was wondering if there is an aftermarket reel handle that would fit my extreme? I am not a huge fan of The gold and would love something darker. I think I saw someone who even had an aluminum drag star on theirs, but couldn't find it.

There are alot of mechanics that see needy people coming from a mile out. Me and my mom took a trip about 200 miles from home and when we got there, a spring in the back brake drum popped off and was making a horrible noise. I thought the rear wheel bearing went bad. The guy we went to visit recommended a Les Schwab down the street. The dude looked it over and checked both brakes and replaced the part all for 20 bucks. Blew my mind. Best bet is to buy the Haynes manual for your car. People would be amazed how much of it they can do themselves with a basic tool kit and a driveway

I just got off the phone with a "level 2 call center representative". She handled the rod issue so now I can keep it. The reel on the other hand, id have to send back and wait till they got it for them to ship me a new one. I just decided ill fish with a RH reel lol. And about the freight charge, I have to fax them a copy of the receipt and will be getting that back. I dont NEED another MH rod. I think I will trade it here in the flea for something I can use for trebles .
