i would be using it for everything. trigs , cranks , frozen/live bait for saltwater etc and i would be using braid as well. have you tried any other techniques with it? No I haven't.

If you're wise , use marine grade carpet . The hooks will snag super bad on the indoor-outdoor carpet.

I'm with RW on this one , you can't beat a fly fishing vest. Why do some of you think that you have to lug around every bait you own when fishing ?

How big is the spinning reel you are putting it on ? That's pretty heavy line to put on a spinning reel unless its a big reel.

There are a few topics that are not allowed here , such as politics and religion because of the bad feelings they cause among the members but I've seen so many arguments started because of one question asked by many and that question is................"What's the best rod, reel ,line , hook , sinker , bait , etc , etc , ?" Well , common sense would tell you that the farther south you go , you will catch more bigger fish. You're best chance to catch a hog in Ohio is to keep fishing the small ponds. The 15 years that I hve been fishing for bass in Ohio have produced one 7 lb'er and it was caught in a strip mine pit in S.E. Ohio. State record largemouth bass. 13.13 lbs. 25 1/16 " Caught in a farm pond on 5-26-76.
