Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
I got the carpet in with 2 sections kind of visible but I don't have an issue with it, glued it to some thin plywood. Added some non slip tape on the front instead of putting carpet over it. Put friction tape over the seat frames that slide in the plastic guides so the seat won't slide around unless I get up and move it. Trying to decide where I want to attach my 15lb anchor to.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
Could add one of those anchor on a pulley things up front to even the weight out.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
Can't delete the darn quote from reply. I only would use the front handle to pull it out of the water. With the trolling motor attached to the rear(how I use it) it makes it awkward to grab the handles from the rear to load into the bed of the truck and unload since I don't have a trailer.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
I have some carpet cut still trying to decide how I want to attach it, velcro isn't working. If for some reason I might need to remove it and glue it down it could get messy. Also seeing how a handle on the front would work when pulling it out of the water onto the bank. Last time I took it out I grabbed both cleats which wasn't very pleasant and kind of hard to do. http://imgur.com/roWMN59

Been thinking about taking a mushroom anchor with me the wind was blowing me around a little bit last time, anyone ever anchor at all?

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
Took it out today, with just me the 45lb handles pretty good even with some wind. I launched by myself, just removed the battery. Rod holders and some clips for the paddle storage are next on the list, wish there was a product that I could put on the bottom like a keel guard so I could pull it on concrete. Would like to add carpet but don't want to add weight with plywood or anything. Maybe some way to stick the carpet to the plastic that can be removed easily?

3 bank charger
I've only used the Promariner ProSport 20+ and an old Bass Pro Shop 3 bank charger.

Videos on developing trolling motor skills
When I use my 75lb Motorguide, it seems like I have to keep the speed all the way down or there's too much power to control. Using lower speeds seem to be the key.

F&S only had the Sun Dolphin and the Pelican 10ft, 10ft would be too much for me. Picked up the Sun Dolphin with a 45lb Minn Kota. Is a rudder necessary? Bow or transom mounted for trolling motor?

Launching by yourself?
From my experience make sure the boat is as straight as you can get it before driving it back on the trailer.

Question about launching, can you leave the trolling motor on it when unloading from the truck bed or attach it afterwards.

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
I went to Field and Stream to compare the Pelican Bass Raider and the Sun Dolphin, I was kind of blown away by the size of the Bass Raider., I haven't seen one up close, might be leaning towards the Dolphin just because of launching and recovering with me being by myself.

Any luck at Caesars Creek in Ohio?
I used minnows last year when I went. This Sunday I used crappie jigs, not sure if I'm in the wrong coves or what.

Any luck at Caesars Creek in Ohio?
I've been to this lake 3 times now and I'm not getting anything. I fished for crappie and bass, I see post on Facebook of others catching multiple crappie what gives?

Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?
I've been looking at some on craigslist that I could take to small lakes that require electric only when I couldn't take out the Javelin, there is a 8ft and 10 ft. My bed in my ram 1500 is 5 1/2 ft long. Only thing I'm worried about is putting it in the bed by myself since I fish most by myself, do you think a trailer is necessary?

Show your ride...
Took it to the lake Saturday, my first time pulling it with the truck, got rid of my Trailblazer. Big difference in towing!

I'm Nervous About Launching My Jon Boat From Trailer For The First Time.
My first time I didn't have the trailer in the water far enough to winch the boat all the way on the trailer. I have larger mirrors now though. You could watch some videos on YouTube to figure out a good routine.

Check Your Hitch Pins...
Can anyone recommend a brand of lock to the truck, I've seen videos where most can be cut or broken but better than to have nothing.

Looking To Get First Boat...where To Start?
Taking the boat safety course would help.

How Cool Is This: Livetarget Hollow Body Sunfish
I will have to check and see if Field and Stream have it. I can only think it would be cheaper to catch a sunfish and use it as bait i dunno.

Trailer Hitch Clunk
Yes where the pin slides in, maybe velcro but moisture might get in.

Trailer Hitch Clunk
Do you just deal with the clunk from the trailer hitch in the receiver or do something to quiet it down? I've heard some say they would rather have it so they know it's back there. It's not bad when the boat is attached but without it there's more clunk. Thought about wrapping some electrical tape around the hitch that slides into the receiver. There are various products for sale that I see that will dampen the noise.
