Thanks for the reply. I've never used anything (other then plastics) bigger then 4", but I'm going to give them a try. Off to BPS tomorrow.

What size would you guys recommend for river smallies. I've been looking into these myself. I was thinking 3.5 or 4". I know they hit bigger lures, but would smallies be deterred from anything larger then 4"? TIA

I just used jigs today for the first time. I haven't had much luck with them yet, but I'm gonna work on that. I was getting plenty of bites, but I couldn't get em set. Thanks for the link RW!! I learned a lot from that one.

I experienced this last week. I pulled in three nice catties (two of which were over 24") on live active shiners.
