  1. Some of you are forgetting that the record came from GA! So if the record is from GA why can't the next be form there?Or any other body of water in the southeast.GA sure doesn't have a all year growing season. But Perry's bass got huge.I think for the most part people over think the whole thing. The fact is anywhere in the south can produce a world record.
  2. Because they sit on tv and tell you how to fish and make millions.Look at bill dance. That dude never has to fish again.Any thing with his name on it,and he waits on the mailman.
  3. Getting ready to add to the stash.Anybody using the Silvermax? Whats you thoughts on it.Its a Abu so I'm already sold.Just want some feed back. Can it handle rockhard hook sets? How's the drag/breaks.Any info on the weight? It looks like a winner, and the price is crazy low. What are your feelings?
  4. Not a pain in the azz,you just have to learn how to use one.My Abu is like casting a Zebco 202 to me. ;D
  5. Have to agree on this one.The person who lands the magic 22.5lb brute is a instant millionaire. Every bait company/line company from here to x-mas will be calling.
  6. Shoot me a PM I've got just what your looking for.
  7. +1 Its something you learn. My pond was littered with grass/pads.Find a pond that has grass and fish it. You will learn over time.
  8. Ok I'm gonna give ottis the benefit of the doubt. If the fish is 18.5 thats just goes to show that giants are among us.Seems like people refuse to believe that big fish are here in the southeast.Like I posted before know one knows whats at the bottom of ponds/lakes.Just to play into the Perry myth. Why is it so hard to believe that oddie's fish with 4 more yrs can't hit 22lbs. Just because you've never caught one doesn't mean they are not out there.
  9. No doubt Oddie's fish is a beast,but 18lbs? I give him 14 tops.
  10. Lipped baits on avg will dive deeper than a lipless. The bigger the lip the deeper it will dive. The lipless can be fished 100mph.While I tend to bump hard cover on the bottom with a lipped bait.Use the lipless over weeds and logs and sooner or later something will crush it.
  11. In my op I made a typo. Not 70achers but 7.Tryin to type quick. And the pond is in NC
  12. Yes some states have longer feeding seasons, witch inturn leads to larger fish. But like I posted. If you think about all the Lakes/ponds/rivers/pits/ across the world. Its just crazy to think that just 3 states in the US are gonna be, the be all end all. Just think of the ponds that you don't know that exist. I just found a Monster of a pound that no one's fished in 20yrs or more. This thing is huge!!!! Gonna guess close to 7 achers.I use Google earth to look for ponds.
  13. I agree.I run Abu Garcias and I've tried to tear um up....You just can't.
  14. From everything I've heard,they are garbage.
