White- never Chartreuse- all the time Fire Tiger- all the time Silver- sunny days Gold- sunny days Crawfish- never use it
  5. Trilene xl smooth casting is very nice. Used it for years in 10lb test. I just recently switched to Power Pro Braid and havnt got to fish due to Orlando getting slammed for 4 days with rain. BLAAAH!!! I did do a small cast in my pool and it felt nice.
  6. Freshwater = Baitcaster Saltwater = Spinning I ONLY use baitcasters for freshwater. Once I learned I will never go back. Go with a cheaper one, learn it, then go for a nice expensive one. More control, more accurate casting, and just plain more fun.
  7. It is going on a 2 person canoe. Everstart deepcycle battery ($58.00 one) Minn Kota Endura 30lb thrust. It is about a 10 min ride ide say with trolling motor on 5 to the spot. once there, I will be using very minimal power. Then 10 min ride back. You think I can stay out all day with that? How long do you think it will go for on full power? Thanks for your help!
  8. I wouldnt suggest throwing a jig more than 30 40 feet. Being that you would, in heavy stick cover, take a greater chance of getting caught up. I would say close 20 foot pitches and worked real slow. I dont have any jigs in my box but I am going to substitute the jig idea with a watermelon seed big brush hog with a light bullet weight till I get some jigs from BPS. Wooo.
  9. Yu know guys... I was thinkin, 20lb test Power Pro braid, brownish/green jig, and some pitching through the canals. LOL. I think I know more than I give myself credit for. Maybe I was a bass in my past life haha. More suggestions are welcome!
  10. The spot I fish is a 3 - 7 foot deep winding canal. It is in the middle of the woods and all around are cypress trees, stumps, bushes, and tons of huge fallen logs in the water. I catch 1-2 pound bass like crazy in there but I KNOW there are some 6lb + lunkers just hangin under and around those fallen trees and sticks. Question is... Which baits would you recommend, color, and presentation. btw, water is a greenish color. I have been swiming shallow watermelonseed lizards and brushhogs and been killin it. But looking for more size.
  11. Try some water color matched lizards and brush hogs.
  12. omg... I am a junkie. I go to BassProShop on a regular basis and just look at the same crap over and over and say to myself... i need to get this...ooh, good idea. i need that. What is the worst is when you get a new reel and you get new everything else. rod, line, lures, blah, blah. I love it tho.
  13. I am located in Casselberry. Basically Orlando. I need to find some nice quiet spots to fish. I have one spot but it's only goable by johnboat or canoe. Just lookin for some little ponds and stuff to throw in and catch some bass. btw, if you help me, I will help you! I have a little secret spot that produces the most rediculous bass fishing I have ever done in my life. CRAZY fun and I'll let ya in on it. But like I said, it's a small boat spot and I have to sorta plan a trip over there. Some help?!
  14. I have the JM Sig series and I love it. I have also owned the Rick Clunn and loved it as well. It is a tad heavy but I like that. It makes me feel more confident in my hand and about my fishing. It is expensive but Ide say worth it. I do like the Diawa Veinto with the twitchin bar also. Sweet reel.
