Poor Swindle
I felt bad for G-Man too. I really thought he was going to win and I think he did too.

Why Do People Use Right Handed Reels?
It's just the way we learned when we were kids. It's hard to untrain that much muscle memory.

Been Watching Mlf Lately, Question About Drop Shots
I think most guys reel into the fish until they have solid contact and then sweep the rod. The hooks is set while reeling, the rod sweep just helps drive it deeper.

Tungsten Bullet Weight Option
I bought all the tungsten I could get my hands on when Tru Tungsten went out of business. I haven't had to buy weights in years. It would be hard to go back to lead now.

How To Qualify For Mlf
Why would they script it? What would be the benefit of that and how would that somehow be easier or better than allowing the real thing to happen naturally? It doesn't even make sense, nor would it be logistically possible.

Spooling A Tatula Reel
A casting reel doesn't perform to it's full capability halfway full of line. You lose IPT and you may lose casting distance. I have 2 Tatula Type R's and they are both filled full, I haven't had any issues at all. I wouldn't take that advice if I were you.

I Lost My Favorite Crankbait
Bagley crankbaits are balsa, the water has probably ruined it anyway. Check Ebay, you can probably find a replacement.

Fantasy Fishing
I'm at 92% in BASS. I only had 617 pts yesterday for Dardanelle, thankfully a few of my guys stepped up today and I'm at 883. I've never played FLW, it seems a lot more complicated.

New Tournament Co Anglers... Please Read.
Everything if you've never done it before. I had a buddy several years ago who had just gotten his first boat. He had me back it in the first 5 or 6 times we fished, I didn't think anything of it. I found out later that the first time he went out alone, he actually left the crowded ramp without launching because he was unsure if he could quickly back his boat up. He's since learned how to do it.

Red Eye Shad Hooks
I use either one of these 2 hooks on Redeye Shad. I go with a size 2 for both hooks.

Eva Foam
High quality cork is getting harder and harder to come by and is very expensive, ($4-$7 per inch.) "Processed" cork has a good consistency but is very heavy and cheap cork is full of pits and filler. EVA is going to become increasingly more popular on rods just because of the cost. I've gotten used to it and don't mind it as long as it's really hard, I still use and prefer cork though.

I think you're right.

Mid Cast Snaps?
Sounds like that tip top is the problem then. You can use a lighter to gently heat the tip guide and slide it off the rod. It should be hot glued on and should come off relatively easily. Most sporting good stores sell generic Fuji tops that you can glue on. If the rod is newer, you might can contact the company and ask them to send you a new tip top for your specific rod. The tip guide is a much easier fix than the other guides.

Mid Cast Snaps?
Run a Q-Tip around the inside ring of every guide. If the guide inserts are cracked the cotton will catch and you will know. If any of the guides are bad you will have to pay someone to strip them off and wrap on new ones. You could do it yourself if you have the tools and the know how. If the tip is bad you will have to buy a new one and basically hot glue it on the rod. Find out what parts are bad on your rod and post back, we can help you figure out what to do next.

Good Swimbait Rod?
Do a search on this website. There is a lot of good information on swimbait rods. I agree with tomustang, the Okuma Guide Select swimbait rods are really good for the money.

Which Rod Should I Choose?
It looks like that rod might be heavier than it's rating. If that's the case, you might be good to go. Most M rods with that line rating aren't heavy enough for jigs. That particular rod might be an exception. I would still buy a MH though.

Which Rod Should I Choose?
That's the attitude I like to see
-
Which Rod Should I Choose?
Agreed. A 3/8 oz jig w/ skirt and trailer is going to weigh quite a bit more than the 5/8oz weight range of the rod mentioned.

How To Qualify For Mlf
I've always wondered what they win also. My guess is it isn't much. I do know that the next "season" will have all new anglers.

Crankbait Sharpies
I just read an article Mark Rose wrote about this subject. He said he uses "waterproof Sharpies" to change colors on his baits. The Spike It markers work great on soft plastics but I've never tried them on hard baits.

Fishing Pads And Weeds
That's just a t-rigged, pegged Power Team Lures bait I believe.
