I can cast a 3/4ounce red-eye shad close to 55 yards with my 6'6" bps carbonlite matched up with my shimano calais reel with 1 brake on

x2. Cloudy with slight wind to breAk up the surface. I usually use a white or black skirted buzzbait with a single gold blade. Bass loves golddddd.

Minn Kota all the way. The bps ones are cheaply made. Trolling motor is something you dont want to skimp out on. Especially for a 55lbs. Get a good battery and you'll be set.

yup. After reading a couple reviews and people were having problem steering with the powerdrive i might consider the edge instead now.

I would choose the hand control but i dont have a deck in the front and don't plan on building one to stand on because it isn't really stable. The 45# powerdrive is only $434. So in the past 3 hour researching i've concluded in choosing two motors. The Powerdrive or the edge. The remaining thing that i'm deciding on is the electric or cable steering. I would def. choose the edge, but as mentioned before i don't have a deck in the front. Will the cable be long enough to come pass the front seat?

ALright, so my transom mount MK TM is going out and i decided to get a bow mount for my boat. I have a 14ft' semi v. Basspro is having the 6 month payment plan going on as of now too so i plan on getting it from there(online). My budget is $450. Strictly for bass fishing. Couple questions i need to ask. 1. How many # thrust should i get and will be enough power to move around? 2. Minn Kota or Motorguide? Most reliable? 3. Hand steer or foot controlled? Leaning on the foot controlled. 4. How long of a shaft? 36",45",48"? So i was looking and Kind of leaning towards the MK Power drive v2. Comments on it?

I wish it was in he 70's up here. We are still in the 50's and 60's. The fish is shallow and hitting topwater in 59degree water temp.

The megabass is expensive. You might want to try the river2sea bubble popper. They look alike. I just ordered 3 of them to see how they perform.

I only buy lures that i know works for me. Jigs, Senkos, and Spinnerbait.

pumpkin green with watermelon red flakes works the best anywhere for me. Only way i use a senko is t-rig. Let it sink slowly and twitch it every 20-25 seconds. Sometimes i texas rig it and let it hit the bottom. There is no special rod movement.

So i got this for christmas and really didnt know much about it. I have the 320 protable version which uses D cell batts. Now after buying a boat i want to connect this to my battery instead of using 8 D-Cell batteries. Now i have a question about using the connectors to the D-cell batteries to connect it to my trolling motor battery. 8 Dcell = 12v which is the same as the TM battery. Would this be safe to do? Here is a few pics to show what i mean.

So i'm running a deep cycle battery on my 30# tolling motor. I have 2 of these on my aluminum boat in case 1 runs out of juice. What is a pretty good battery charger for around $100 or less? If there is none, suggest me a good one.
