oops. just saw you got the bed bait. Have this one too. No fish on it yet, but haven't fished it much. I wouldn't hesitiate throwing this on the outside edges of a brush pile in deeper water and jig it back. It has a pretty good swimming action at a straight retreive, too.

Good deal, man. I have both of these baits, and love them both. You'll definitely get more fish with the Tylure based on its size, but if you stick it out with the Hardgill, more than likely you will have to hold on. I have only one fish on the gill and 3 on the kicker. The way the fish hit the gill was unreal, like it had slept with its mother and ate its children. Ridiculous. What sink rates did you get? I was deadsticking a floater kicker gill the other night and had a fish have a change of heart at the last minute and "swooshed" away. Then I saw another two bass near it and scope it out. Pretty cool to see. They can both be fished slow, but the mattlures has a better action when burned, but I haven't really felt the need to have to burn it. Both can be turned 180 degrees and twitched to change direction from side to side. Good luck, let us know how you do.

I had two of those, sold one, and lost the other. Great crank bait. Fish it like you would any other shallow running crank bait. Throw some pauses in there, vary your speeds. Not much to it.

Ya know, I don't think they do. They figured you gotta be the only one in the world with a 1/2 buzzbait, why ruin such a good thing? I'm going to take it out this weekend. I threw it two days ago in the height of the sun just to check it out. LOUD, SQUEAKY are two words I would describe this bait. Another cool thing I've learned on this bait is that when you give it a steady retreive the eye looks down, and I can imagine that ticking off a bass or two.
