  1. Try. Bigger. Baits. You're in Florida for cryin out loud!
  2. Looks like it should be goo then for Saturday fishing. We get that iteneary yet? I'm getting so excited for this.
  3. I beg to differ.
  4. It will definitely mess the action up. Fish it early in the morning or night time.
  5. I just killed it. Didn't report anything. Having it for dinner tonight.
  6. To me that fish looks at decent health. The mouth is pretty big from the size, but hard to tell from one picture. Thinning out the small bass doesn't sound like a bad idea, maybe you could donate the fish to a local homeless shelter or something. Want to know what I would do? Go at night (as mentioned) and throw a BIG bait, MS Slammer, or other wakebait/ top water swimbait. A bigger fish will come. During the day, I would get a 6-7" (or bigger!) baby bass swimbait and chuck it out there. Jsj snack size would be a great choice. It's about 2 oz, and can be thrown on most flipping gear. This is a great idea, man. Hope you find the bigass momma.
  7. thanks for the clarification. I can never tell you guys apart ;D Haha. Jake has jokes! Yes, Sam it was aquia creek.
  8. I would have had a swimbait tied on, whatever the forage is in your lake. cast it out, reel it in put the thing right in front of its mouth. Let it sit and twitch it every couple of minutes. maybe even had another setup with other lures while the swimbait just sat.
  9. Not mine, my wifes. 6 lb.
  10. Wanna hear a white Russian joke? what's the difference between a white Russian and Alex Ovechkin? the White Russian has a cup. wakka wakka.
  11. I don't know really the difference between classification terms, bit a small swimbait is a small swimbait. I have had mild success with the bbz-1 4" by spro. Hollow bodies have their place, too. They can be made pretty much weedless, they cast well, and can be retrieved many different ways. Don't be scared to throw bigger baits either. A 10" bass will definitely try and take a bait up to 7", maybe more.
  12. I can't wait.
  13. 3 or 4 pounds is a huge difference, imo. There could literally be 10 guys separated by 3-4 lbs, right? Good luck for those that do it.
  14. Nice. What area of the potomac is that?
  15. It would have been google worthy to me if she was giving a lapdance to a girl.
  16. No. Joke. With as many scenes as they had with her walking away, it should be called, "The Back Side." Wakka Wakka.
  17. He's probably out fixing gramitical errors on damaged road signs.
  18. Thanks for the kind words! The entire New River is loaded with nice smallmouths! No joke! Above Claytor Lake, there are some really nice smallies, and you have a shot at walleye, musky, and even the occasional striper or hybrid. We normally fish down below the city of Radford, near the Arsenal. This area has always produced a number of nice fish, including a couple of decent muskies. Even further downstream, at the Whitethorne to McCoy area, the river really flattens out, there are some bigger, deeper holes, and there is some real hog hunting that goes on! Both monster smallmouth and monster musky live there! I've even heard of some decent largemouth that have been caught down there. Of course, being near both VT and Radford, the "view" at McCoy Falls would not be too bad either this time of the year...especially if you get a nice, hot, sunny day! Nice! That's exactly where we will be! Thanks, man. I hope to get on one that size!
  19. Dude, you're making the right choice. I'm 24 and have 3 kids (two are mine, and a step daughter whom I am raising and her dad is the typical weekend dad). But I'm also away from my oldest daughter. I had her when i was with her mother when I was 18. Things didn't work out, and we split before my daughter turned 2. Being away from you child for a week at a time is the most pain staking thing in the world. Missing bath night, bedtime stories, wrestle time etc etc etc is horrible. I'm convinced that splitting with her mother was the right thing to do, but it sucks.
  20. Ditch her. Go with new chick. Miss your kids. Miss your ex's lasagne. New girl ditches. Now you got no girl, visitation with kids, and eating crappy lean cuisines living in a sub par apartment with roaches. Enjoy.
  21. Lawrence Taylor, is that you?!
  22. There aint really a problem with a 20 year old dating a 17 year old. Wow 2-3 year difference. It really is not that much. Tell that to her dad. Her parents already know my age, they trust her. Trust has nothing to do with it, age does. 18 is 18, no matter how much trust a parent has in their child. Dont ask for people's opinion on an internet fishing forum if you don't want to hear something other than, "Atta boy, you done good." Be a man, make your own decisions and then live with them. Simple as that. Ha, funny you say that, Wayne. I don't even think this guy fishes. I've checked his "past 50 posts" teice, and the first time (months ago) there were no bass fishing content. This time, only two... Anyhow, there are ages of consent in America. THey vary state by state, and some are more than other. They can be found http://www.avert.org/age-of-consent.htm Now this pertains to sexual intercourse, and unfortunatley for our Carbinated Beverage friend, should he have successfully landed this young lady into his Dragon poster pastered walls of his bedroom and done the deed, he would have landed soem jail time. Consent of Sex in Tennessee is 18 and 18. Beverage Boy, want a solution? see my previous post and don't forget to give her the last frenchfry. Next time on Ethics with NewAngler; "To tell or not to tell; the broken condom story."
  23. Nice fish, man! Where on the new? Some buddies and I are gonna be down there next weekend.
  24. This is the best thing I've read on here all year so far. This gets the "best post" award from me. haha, thanks. I'll be here all week.
  25. Nice fish, as alway, Dwight. Tell you friend, "sweet stache."
