both gander mountain and bass pro have these rods and i have messed with them in the store... they are gianormous. they are the same size as my musky rods. if you are looking at getting one online i would recommend checking one out at the store first.

i know they are lightweight guides, but do they not hold up?

i used to use power pro on one of my baitcasters and liked it a lot but when throwing heavy lures and occasionally when fish on it would dig into itself and backlash on next cast... i the spooled up the reel with about 25 yards of mono then power pro and it helped a lot with the digging. i like fireline now i dont have any problems with it, but i do want to put suffix on a reel to test it out.

let me know what happens... i have a cumara i bought from cabelas, didn't break it yet but i wouldn't mind knowing how they handle it... thanks
