  1. zyla's is closed now. Other places to try would be on lake st in nashua I forget the name of it, but i guess they have tons of equipment. went to petes gun and tackle the other day in hudson. they have a pretty good selection, a lot of older stuff but they carry a decent amount of newer jerkbaits and whatnot.
  2. Heck I think I am in a slump. Went out yesterday walking around mill pond fishing the shore. Caught 1 under a pound. then went to robinson pond night fishing from about 9 -1:30 in the AM and caught nothing trolling on a friends boat, however he caught 4 - 2, sunnies and 2 small bass on a jitterbug. I dont know what it is but ive been in this slump for about a week now.
  3. How is the fishing there? Tinker rd that is. Also anyway of getting into mill pond to shore fish. We went twords the dam side by the N river but it was junk. I want to be able to get into more of the middle edges somewhere.
  4. Hey all, Now that it seems to be post spawn whats everyone going twords when you dive in that tackle box. type? color preferance? I have been having great luck with senko's mainly darker colors or white. Just picked up a few different colors of slug-o;s so im dying to try them out.
  5. any advice on where is a good place for shore fishing? trying to find new spots that will be decent.
  6. Ya I picked up braid for my heavier rod and just some trilene xl 8lb for the lighter stuff however I might just got get some 8lb flurocarbon today to run that instead. Before I was using spiderwire 8lb on that setup and loved it. I am def loving how the braid casts. It seems like its smoother and more accurate with my casting than the mono.
  7. Last night I tried to head over to the pennichuck water works area to get in. A tip from someone at work said its unbelievable fishing however when going down manchester rd where the water flows on both sides its all fenced in with no tresspassing signs everywhere. >
  8. Id be up for playing with anyone. Im pretty good at lv60 or 61 right now. GT= adrenaline0210 hit me up and we can get playing
  9. UNHbass37 where did you go? just seeing if its anywhere in Hudson?
  10. If im just enjoying a relaxing night with some friends its newcastle brown ale. If im fishing or pounding its BL Lime usually.
  11. Just got some 50# powerpro braid on a new baitcaster. Currently I just used a palmors knot to tie on a swivel however wondering if I should have spliced it uni to uni with a mono leader? how many of you guys just use strickly braid. Going to be using this for spinnerbaits, jigs and plastics.
  12. Ya im thinking the next purchase will be a med / heavy to get rid of the old concorde POS. I bought that as a combo baitcaster when I was about 15 and it was horible reel. I think together they were like 50$.
  13. Thats awesome and hell of a fish for a first bass. I only wish to catch something that big now. All I get is the sub 1lb maybe 1.5 lb ones.
  14. Well most guys have a few different rods and reels so I think I just got my complete beginner setup. Let me know what you guys think and what you guys would use them each for. Rhino 5'6" med / light action casting pinnacle platinum plus baitcaster trilene 8lb xl line concorde 6' med casting - vry old rod however has a really nice feel pinnacle solene baitcaster - loved the platinum plus so went up a notch powerpro 50lb braid quantim xs3 rod and reel combo 7' med action I know that these arent the most expensive combos but they work really nice for now. Now I can upgrade to higher end stuff piece by piece. Let me know what you guys think
  15. thanks everyone. def love how active people are here. and the northeast section there is a lot of activity in my area which is great!
  16. btw - the pond closest to the street has been the one time and time again im pulling bass out about that size. One guy last week on lunch had one that was easily 3-4lbs using a spoon daredevil. HINT: if you want to fish these ponds wait until the businesses are closed for the night or come on the weekend and you will have no problem. If you see a red xterra you will probably bump into me fishing. Good Luck!
  17. Nashua Fisherman, you must have just missed me last night. I was fishing here until about 6:30 or 7. Then we went and hit mines falls, mills pond towards the inlet into the nashua and around the boat launch at the river. No luck. At work however I caught one ok small mouth. probably under a pound but still fun. Caught using a white 5" senko.
  18. Ya I am talking about the pond next to the telegraph. I work for semikron so I can fish on lunch and after work all the time. There are some bigger ones in their however be careful. I know my work as well as the telegraph if they see you fishing will tell you to leave. Thats too bad about mills pond it looked and sounded promising. I guess the nashua river is really starting to pick up. Me on the other hand don't have a boat so its a bummer to get out to the good spots. Hopefully by the end of the summer I can pick up a good jon boat with motor or inflatable to get out there. I have also tried on 102 at the top of the hill heading towards londonderry THE QUARRY pond. This useto be stocked heavily and I hear from a lot that there is really good fishing in their. However the past few times I have gone their came back shaking my head. Also a good spot is on west rd in londonderry. If you head down heading twoards whily hill rd on the left you can walk in sort of by the powerlines and theres 2 bass ponds back there. I hear there really good spots.
  19. Hello, New on here just wanted to say hi. Living in southern NH and have been fishing at least 3-4 times a week afterwork. Got pretty heavy into fishing earlier this yr since I didn't fish for years and even then it was minor. Ended up picking up a pinnacle wally world baitcaster and loving it. Been on this site a lot researching and doing a lot of homework throguhout the net. Do most of my fishing in Hudson, derry, nashua. Hope I can get a lot of input and advice to get the big boys!
  20. Nashua Fisherman - How is mills pond in nashua. I live in hudson and have been trying to find a good spot to go fishing for the past month or so. I have tried beaver lake in derry, hoods pond in derry, Mines falls by the d**n, nashua river in a buddies boat a few times with not much luck at any of these spots. Also tried musquash, and the small pond behind the hudson speedway. I have been fishing the small ponds in the industrial park by haffners with great luck with small mouths. Id like to find some good places to go that I can access from shore. Don't have a boat yet. To all others i have been having great luck with berkley gulp, june bug colored worms as well as numerous different senko's wacky rigged and weighless.
