CWB has enough plastics that if he puts them all in his boat water will breach it ;D

MOLD ON REEL HANDLES
Id be more worried about mold growing in your walls than the rods honestly... You should go and scrape all the mold off the walls if there is any and put in a high quality dehumidifier.

Why did I find BR.com on facebook?
:-/ Everyone I talk to now adays says to get on face books. I made a my space account once because a lot of my friends wanted me to, but I logged into it so little it wasn't worth having. Is the facebook more professional based than my space? ie: I hear lots of businesses are using it to advertise and network and such?

1000 Posts
Not sure of the intent of this post... If it was intended sarcastically or not... I'm fairly certain I know what I am talking about on comments I make and don't make comments that are way off base. I enjoy talking about fishing, I have time to check the forums several times a day between classes and while at work. There are quite a few people on here that average 10+ posts per day :-/ If there is an issue with me please PM me and we can discuss this further. On another note... I don't see how post count or days as a member of a specific forum should correlate to credibility? However seeing as the "sarcasm symbols" designated by Long Mike and Muddy in the throwing trash in the lake thread were not used... I will just take this as a compliment

Color Selector
One thing they do well however is give new anglers an idea of what works and basic principals. This can be learned however by reading (and you save ($100).

Fishing Line Color
Some will argue it matters, some like to camo their braid, some fish it as is. A common misconception is that Fluorocarbon is "invisible". Fluorocarbon is closer to the refractive index of water than other types of line, thus making it virtually invisible, but not completely. Some brands state that it is completely invisible but this is simply not true. I have never used green tinted Fluorocarbon so can't really comment on that. But I have used green tinted copoly in stained water worked just as well as clear copoly. I have caught just as many fish in stained water with dark green braid as Fluorocarbon. I usually will only use Fluorocarbon if a lake is crystal clear. If the water is murky or stained I'll be using braid or a copoly 90% of the time. It all really just comes down to line preference. I have yet to find a Fluorocarbon that I like.

Thats a good one, never gets old.

Color Selector
waist of money imo. There is an iphone app for $3 that does the same thing pretty much. Import weather conditons temp water clarity etc and it tells you what color to use.

use for a broken rod/pieces?
I'd at least keep the reel seat, guides and cork. I would think it would be able to be reused, good question for all the rod builders though.

Bass 4, me 0
Depending on how thick the weeds are... I'd just concentrate on pitching along the weed edges with a sweet beaver or something of the likes. As mentioned a spinner bait may not be a bad idea either depending on how thick the weeds are, try to find paths in the weeds to work it, or along the edges. Putting a 3/8-1oz weight on and tossing it into the heart of the weeds and working it to drop through could produce some good results as well.

What's your "guest" rig?
Depends who the person is. If its a young kid I'll let them use a spinning rig in the lower tier, if its a fishing friend or partner they can use any of my stuff they want UNLESS fishing a tournament, then no one touches my gear as I may decide I want to use it at any given time. Same rule applies, it breaks they pay the warranty cost and any shipping fees. No warranty, they replace it, that is made known.

Your Jobs... what are they?
Spent 5 years in the USMC right after high school, did 3 tours to Iraq. Now I get paid by the government for the next 4 years to do as much education as I can cram in, so should hit my masters. I'm about 1.5 years away from my degree in Environmental Engineering. I also work for a private security company a few days a month if for instance the governor comes to town or something of that nature. I was working for homeland security in a liaison position a few months ago, but about 3 weeks after I bought my house they moved my position to St. Louis. The wife and I decided we didn't want the hassle of uprooting again so we stayed here, thus I'm finishing up school.

re-skirting???
I bought some lumaflex skirt material. Cut a piece of cardboard to the size you want each strand to be. Wrap the lumaflex around the cardboard to desired # of strands. Take a razor and slice down each side, put a collar in the middle and slide it on. Wacky-Rig tool can help with collars also or just put it on a pair of needle nose pliers. You can also wire tie them on if you like. Per Glenn's recommendation I just use white lumaflex and dye it as necessary with JJ's Magic.

nite fishing with baitcasters?
Comes down to feel, you will get the hang of it. You know how long it should take for your lure to hit the water.
