Good to have some reinforcement... I really do not want to go back again... but it would be nice to have the money of course. I'm just struggling with the point of view that... hell I did it 3 times for next to nothing... once more to capitalize on some profit, just so much I could do with the money... but I suppose like my wife keeps telling me... nothing I can do with the money if my luck ran out last time I went.

I have been struggling with this for a few months now. I did 3 deployments to Iraq (7mo deployments) each over the course of 5 years. I had several close calls including being hit by a road side bomb on the my 3rd tour. I am now getting paid by the government to attend school full time. The money is enough to pay my mortgage, have food, provide for my wife in a modest life style. I have an opportunity that I was offered... to change my life but I have been struggling to make the decision. I could choose to deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan doing the same type things I did while in the USMC but as a private contractor... but I would get paid like this: 1 years pay @ 85k 6 months deployed - 6 months doing whatever I want at home Ontop of that 85k there is a 180k combat deployment bonus, though it is taxed 45% by uncle sam. So basically I could deploy for 6 months and make roughly 110-120k then make the remaining 42.5k over the next 6 months of doing nothing. Pay off the little debt I have... buy a new truck and bass boat and be much better off. I know I'm the only one who can make the choice, but it is definitely a tough one I've been thinking about. What do you all think?

I would put the Revo S on a Powell 683c. It is a solid all around general purpose rod.

Good friend of mine has a Phenix MBX 7' H. It is a great rod, he uses it for frogging, I would compare it to my Kistler Argon 7'1 H. It has a very solid backbone and is amazingly sensitive. It is not quite as sensitive as the Argon but has a little faster tip.

I'm still going to cry when I see him in green bay in purple and gold :'(. I still like him as a player and know he is a good guy from meeting him. I did not agree with how GB treated him but at the same time I can see their side of things, he kept saying he was leaving and coming back.... if he had said "I got 3-4 years left in me" they would have kept him on the starting line up. But how fair is it to sit on Aaron Rodgers with Brett changing his mind every month. Still like him as a player but it is going to hurt seeing him in those colors and lambeau

Yeah MN does have one hellova running game to back him up. I think they are going to have a solid team... I will hate to see him here at Lambeau in purple and gold though.

You using a trailer? Make sure it is on straight first, then once that is set you can bend the arm the opposite direction, do it in increments until you got her running straight.

Guess I didn't view it as dodging training camp, that hadn't even crossed my mind... was viewing it more as this being the 2nd time he has come out of retirement because he can't let the game go.

To have Favre come out of retirement AGAIN and go to the vikequeens? I got to admit I loved Favre, and still like him a lot but this is a low blow. Might have to sell my autographed football. Starting to feel like the Michael Jordan retirement shenanigans.

I really wish I could find the thread I started about these. A few people had tried out the flipping hooks and had several of them break. I would try these out but plan to wait for them to work out the kinks.

Milwaukee Bucks are nothing to squawk about either... I want to slap their management... they have been "preparing for the future" for the last 20 years. I lost complete faith in that team when they traded Dirk.

Just throw some 65 braid on, if it gets hung up keep your rod straight and just start walking... it will either come free or pull a log out of the river. ;D

For the past month or so I've been researching and looking for a topwater rod that will suit my needs to throw jerkbaits (mostly LC Pointer 100's that I am accumulating). I have never been a huge jerk bait guy, in fact I made the mistake of overlooking them for a long time. I made it my goal to utilize them this fall. After quit a bit of research I decided to go with the Kistler Mag Cast Rod 6'8" Med Top/Jerk 1/8-3/4. This rods been sold out at a few places for the duration of my searching for it. It is $150 new from TW available the end of this month. I recently got an offer for a Powell Powell Crank Cast Rod 6'8" Med 684CB 1/4 - 3/4. I was curious if anyone has had experience with this rod? Also if anyone would like to throw out recommendations on a jerk bait / top water rod I will take them into consideration as well and it would be appreciated.

I've got a ton of these, just remembered it and figured I'd post it. 3 Marines are wanting to become force recon, they have all passed the 5 prior stages and were selected out of 40 candidates. The 3 remaining Marines walk into a building where they are greeted by 2 men with a pelican case sitting at a table in front of a few rooms room. The men greet the Marines and thank them for their dedication thus far through the training. One of the men looks at the Marines and says "The final stage is to eliminate anything that could be used to leverage your emotions". Your wives are in these rooms behind us. The man opens the pelican case and pulls out a Kimber 1911. Says the the Marines, the final test is to kill your wife. The first Marine takes the gun in a shakey hand, walks in and a few seconds later walks out holding his wife crying and says I can't do it I just love her to much. The second Marine grabs the gun confidently, walks into the room and walks out a few minutes later crying saying "I love my wife I can't do this, this is wrong". The third Marine grabs the gun, walks in, a few second later a shot is heard... Followed by another... and another and another... the room is silent for a few moments then the two men look at each other when they hear scraping and banging and screams. The Marine walks out of the room covered in sweat and blood, the men turn and ask him what the hell happened. He replies "Well some dumb nuts put blanks in the gun so I had to kill her with the chair".

I don't remember a ton... like I remember talking to him about fishing and the military, then he did something with the IV, I'm guessing put in the drugs... I remember saying "wow I feel that..." and he said "good that's good" then I remember walking to the resting room to lay down in there where my wife was after it was all done and from then on my memory is clear except for getting a blanket put on me don't remember that :-? Just a bummer now... I haven't eaten in 24 hours... pretty hungry and apple sauce just isn't cutting it Overall not to bad though... and it DID thunderstorm all day. So perhaps this is a good thing my guided tour got transferred to the beginning of sept for this.

yeah just sitting around the house now, they put me under I dont remember to much but my entire mouth is numb still and the constant blood is annoying.
