  1. I've had the hitch not go down all the way where sits on top of the ball and not down around it. At a quick glance it looks right. I caught it before I drove away.
  2. Same here. Haven't been in Wal Mart in years. I'm not sure why anyone would go there or to Sams.
  3. I haven't had any luck at my local lakes with big baits and I've tried them all. My biggest came from a 4" senko.
  4. I agree. No matter how early I go out, I don't get much of anything until after 10 am.
  5. I have a Skeeter TZX 200. It's way faster than I'll ever go. Very smooth and dry ride. I've owned several different brand boats. This is the best one I've been in.
  6. 2004 Skeeter TZX 200 and a 2014 F150 to get me to the water
  7. That's why I wear a blindfold when deer hunting. To see them is an act of desperation and laziness.
  8. I had a small bass on and I saw a pike after it. I jerked the bass out of the water at the last second before he was about to be pike lunch. Set him free to live another day.
  9. I've noticed the same thing. Caught 12 Saturday and 7 Sunday. Only 2 were 14". My opinion is that they moved. The weed lines that are in by June, where I usually catch the big ones aren't there. The weed lines this year didn't come in until the end of August and they are smaller few. Water temps that are normally in the 80's didn't happen and it barely got into the low 70's. I think it's weather related.
  10. Bigger fish bigger pan. I cooked some a couple days ago. Delicious. Around here they have to be 14" minimum to keep. I'll take a couple keepers each trip.
  11. The rest won't take the load off the transom. It's still trying to twist and can do a lot of damage when hitting bumps. The saver takes that load and puts it on the trailer.
  12. I had a 96 Javelin 369 SE. Wish I would have kept it. The best boat I ever had.
  13. Thanks. I appreciate your answer even if it's not what I wanted to hear. lol I guess it's time for some new batteries.
  14. Do you guys leave your 3 bank charger plugged in all the time. I always did on my other boats without an issue but this one is boiling the water out in no time if left on. I might have ruined my batteries.
  15. I had a Javelin and really liked it. Thought it was time to try a deep V. I bought a Tracker Targa. Great boat but it just wasn't right for fishing all the small lakes. I sold it and went back to a bass boat. I think a guy really needs 3 boats. (good luck convincing the wife) That would cover most anything we want to do. It doesn't take much wind to push an aluminum deep V across the lake.
  16. I keep them happy in the live well and fillet them when I get home. Some go in the fryer and the ones that don't go in vacuum bag. Surprising how fresh the taste even months later. Any other way of freezing that I've tried had poor results.
  17. Idiot???? I hope you're joking.
  18. That's what I'd do. I really don't understand how people can be so worried about a fish when on every cast they could kill one. It's a fish, or dinner, or both.
  19. I brought 2 home last week end. Flakey and delicious. If it's mushy you cooked it too long.
  20. It would only do it in less than 10' of water depth. Anything over that it worked perfect.
  21. I had that problem. I did every thing HB told me to do. Installed the choke wire they had sent me. rerouted wires. Nothing worked. Water over about 10' it worked fine. Must be bouncing waves off the bottom in shallow water.
  22. Most small trailers don't have brakes.
  23. I caught my largest LM next to a swim area marker with kids yelling and splashing just a few feet away.
  24. I had that same boat with a 115 motor and it would do 50 plus. It's one of the best boats I've ever had. I miss it.
