  1. Does anyone know if someone still caries the berkley 6in flip N tail worm ? Thanks
  2. Sunday my friend and I fished a local tournament, it was about 90 degrees and sunny and we had 12 boats show up. 2 weeks before this we had finished 2nd in the same tournament, so we had some confidence. The tournament started at 7 and went until 3. We had 3 keepers by 830 and we were feeling pretty good, but the bite went cold for the next 4-5 hours. It was 1 pm and we still only had 3 keepers and we were starting to get a little worried, right around 130 I caught a 2 and a half pitching a finesse worm around grass, and thats what got us started, in the next hour we caught 4 more keepers and culled twice, and we knew we would have a good chace to win. So when we got back to the weigh in only one other team had a limit, their limit went 7 lbs 1 oz so then it was our turn and our limit weighed 10 lbs 12 ozs, there were a few other boats that had fish but none of them topped the 4 lb mark, so we came away with the win !
  3. Yes this works, the acid in the soft drink helps clot the blood, last sunday in a tournament i hooked a 14in fish deep got the hook out and poured a little Coke on the wound and tossed him in the live well, and the fish was perfectly fine!

  6. Lost a brand new rod and reel combo on Sunday in a tournament and even though i already bought a new one i am debating on trying to find this setup still, its in about 6 to 8 ft of water adn i know about a 20 yard vicinity of where the rod took the plunge, any tips for getting it back ?
  7. Today me and a buddy fished a local tournament, this past week the weather was in the mid 80s until yesterday when a big cold front hit and the high today only reached the mid 50s, the fishing was tough, and there was only 8 boats to show up. At about 9:20 I accidently kicked my St.Croix/Pro Qual overboard and spent the next 30 min trying to snag it with no luck, we had no fish in the boat at this point either. So I finally decided to say forget it and keep fishing, and at about 10:45 we finally caught our first keeper. At the end of the day we had 4 fish that weighed 6 lbs 6 ounces which was good enough for 2nd place, and a 105 dollar check, and even though my partner did not catch a fish today we still split the money and i got 55 and he got 50, but it still doesnt makeup for the lost setup
  8. Heading down to Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley early next week, we will probably be staying on the Barkley side, any advice on whats working as far as if the fish are moving up or they are still on the main lake points, and what your catching them on ? Any information will help, Thanks!
  9. Im getting a new reel to pitch with very soon, right now i have a pro qual on a mojo bass rod and it does just fine but i want two. I'm probably getting the 7' 3 veritas for the rod but for the reel im thinking about a carbonlite, does anyone use there carbonlite for pitching i'm just kind of worried about the amount of drag, with only 8 lbs of drag will this become a problem ?
  10. Yeah idk why I'm all hyped up about it. I guess being stuck in all winter is why, but i know once i see it they will have the same things as last year, but its still nice to look at them.

  12. Try running buzzbaits and cranbaits parrallel to the rip rap, the closer you get to the rip rap with the buzzbait the more strikes your going to get, these two techniques have worked well for me on the river.
  13. I don't have a prob;em with the kermy frog you can make them walk just as well as you can a Spro frog, I do believe that the kermys hooks are of lesser quality and the body is a little harder than that of a Spro frogs.
  14. I can get it for 100, not sure exactly how many scratches are on it but the guy im getting if from keeps pretty good care of his equipment.
