I used a guy named Ian, he did one of my fuegos, steez 103ha, tdz 100m and my pixilla build. He charges 20 bux per reel plus whatever parts are and then 10 bux for polishing/supertuning. The shipping killed me tho. It was 50 bux round trip for shipping. I used a flat rate box that just fit 4 reels, which was 14 bux but the insurance is a killer when you have 1200 bux worth of reels to ship. He did a great job imo. I had him do carbontex drag on all the reels, orange seal bearings on them all also and he polished/supertuned all my reels too. I also had him put my carbon handles and cork knobs while he was at it. I went all out pretty much. The reels are like works of art now.

I have been thinkin bout it and I wanna make a definite date but this weather has been hit or miss lately. One day its gorgeous outside and the next day its blizzard time. I was gonna go tommorow by myself to do a little fishing but not sure bout that now. Not sure what to do.

There's more to this Brandon Lee connection then you may think. Thai is actually a ninja which is how he sneaks up on these fish and fools them. I would love a snakehead tourney but I should probably learn how to catch a few first dont ya think

not sure yet bout next saturday. My girl is a groomer at Dogtopia and she had 5 dogs today all of which had to be canceled so first I gotta see if she has to do them next saturday instead. Thats why sundays are better cuz she doesnt work sundays. I'll post up as soon as I know . Oh and as far as 4mr goes, is it really that good there now ? I havent caught more then 3 bass in a day there since I started goin. I kinda wanna go to magic unicorn island instead.

sure I don't see why not. Just gotta make sure its a saturday that my girl isnt working. She doesnt wanna be left out and she loves to fish as much as we do.

not lookin so good right now guys. I already have 3 inches of snow on the ground here and the areas around lake anna are gonna be gettin 8-12 inches by tonite. I dont think anyone is gonna be fishing anywhere. Hope u guys have bread and milk

As of now we are on for sunday. If my zip code down there gets alot of snow 23117 or the surrounding zip codes then we will have to assess the situation. Im gonna be checkin weather.com thruout the day tonite and tommorow. One inch of snow or even two shouldnt affect anything for the roads. 4 or 5 inches however is a different story. So lets wait and see what happens. I just got my reels back from the reel guy and I have some new combos I wanna try out so Im excited. Oh and Thai TW is gonna ship the instock stuff now and the rest when it comes in woohoo

For those of you who havent been to the lake before, the roads that lead to it are narrow and winding with ditches along side in some places. For me its no biggie cuz my boat is already there but you cannot control traction with a trailer. So we're gonna play it safe if theres an accumulation of snow. Let's hope for the best.

Oh and I forgot to say, if there is snow on the ground anywhere around the lake then you guys are gonna have a problem towing boats on the backroads with snow. Not gonna happen. If thats the case we will post pone it till the weekend after the superbowl I guess.

Are you all fishing the warm side? Neither Sturgeon nor High Point are on that side of the lake. I duck hunt out of both and you'll need wings to get to the warm side of the lake from there. Sturgeon will put you in closer to the reactors but High Point is a better launch in my opinion, especially if there are several of you. I know where the warm side is considering we have had this house since the early 90's thanks for the tip tho. I was simply sayin I would drive 20 minutes to the marina to meet ppl and have them follow me. On a sidenote we fished 3 hours today. Only d y k e one had warm water, everywhere else on the lake was 45-50 degrees. I did manage one about 14 inches long on D Y K E one about 15 minutes after we got there. The fish just didnt turn on today. Its hit or miss out there.

play nice ladies. We all know the Ravens are the best team in town anyways ;D Im headed down to the lake in a few hours, coming back tommorow. I will see if I can find some good spots. I'll only be on the water for an hour or two today but tommorow I'm doing the morning bite. Hopefully I can find a place with ethanol free gas thats open. Lets plan on meeting up sunday morning around 7:30 somewhere off the thornburg exit. I think Im goin down the night before so I will drive 20 minutes or so to meet you guys. Does anyone know how to get to high point marina or maybe sturgeon creek ? If so we can meet there. And if anyone plans on eating after we fish then we need decide what we're gonna do. Burgers and bratwurst maybe ? Lets figure this out.

None of us are experts on lake anna and I have had this house in my family since 1992, so you would think I know something. This will be a learning experience for all parties involved. I have only fished it during the spring and summer, this will be my first time out on the water during the winter. I got some good tips from cc mcotter recently so I think we should def be able to put some bass and even striper in the boat. This is def not a club, more like a get together every once in while involving forum members who post on this section and love to fish seriously for bass. Theres so many clubs out there in northern va that I wouldnt even know where to start on choosing one to join.

oh and I think my friend is bringin his triton so there will be one more boat

I only have one map so thats on u boaters to do. Get one for like 10 bux. Or just follow me to where Im headed as long as u can keep up

I really dont want fish in ppl's livewells for this one. Lets just take pics of the fish on the ruler, biggest fish wins, simple as that. Or if everyone has a scale on the boat we can do it that way. No need to stress these fish out . Anyone catches a decent striper I say we grill it that night. Somehow my ford expedition fixed itself today and is runnin fine. Im gonna drive it alot these next few days to make sure its all good. I should be good to go. Hopefully my shimano core will get here in time so I can test it out.

sweet rod but I thought the bcr893 was primarily a senko rod? It also works well for horny toads ? I got one recently but have only thrown senkos with it. Of course mine doesnt look nearly as high tech as yours. Sure wish loomis would add more style to thier rods.

I'm keepin track till spring at which point Im gonna be catchin so many I wont be able to keep track. The ones that everyone is catchin right now are so small they hardly even count to me. Brent caught 40 this morning but more then half were around 10-12 inches long which to me dont really count. I say only ones 14 inches and longer should count. Or I could go out and use a beetle spin and catch 50 babies and inflate my fish count

You're going to pair a Powell 766 with a Millionaire IZE Light for punching mats? That is a light line finesse reel... you would be better off putting the Core on the 766 and find yourself a nice lighter action casting rod to take advantage of what that little reel can do. see that's what I wanted to know. I dont know alot bout that reel other then the fact its a round reel that weighs 7 ounces, and of course what I read on TT's review. Guess Im gonna need another one of these cores, one for punchin mats and one for pitchin/flippin plastics and jigs. What is the best application for the i'ze light anyways ? Where would it fit in?

The shimano cumulus rod sounds like a good idea perhaps. Altho I wanna handle one first before I start day dreamin bout it. For what those are gonna cost I cant see how they would be a better choice then the tried and true loomis glx rods. We'll see bout that tho.
