  1. Sucks you lost a few ounces!
  2. I really don't feel like it is "fishing", and also I feel you may lose your pole if you aren't paying attention. Big bass ****** it right out from you. But if it works it works. I feel like also it would be more affective to have more line out
  3. Its funny because usually I am a stickler for detail, like I would normally buy every rod for every situation but i just don't feel like spending all that money because I will get out of hand. I usually go all out, but I am trying to cut back lol Hey I must say I really do appreciate your input!
  4. Yeah my only thing was I don't want 6-7 rods. Maybe if I was a tournament angler, but I don't even own a boat. ;D
  5. Well I figured, they must have found something special in how they make them. Or we are all idiots!
  6. Can I also use any of these rods as a flippin stick? Or would a 7'6 rod suit me better?
  7. I'm glad everyone shows my enthusiasm. So admins aren't allowed to chime in?
  8. Are you referring to just the rattle part?
  9. All true (except, some people really choose st croix over g loomis? ) ....Depends on the setup of the forum, if this was "Fishing Resource" and we had a bunch of Walley, trout and musky fisherman we might see more issues here ;D Sorry do you ever run into the Michael Scott Paper Company? Sorry it says your from Scranton, had to ask:)
  10. Oh ok, you must live in West Upstate, by Syracuse then. Nice area over there. I miss the East. Oh the Pizza, yes the pizza.
  11. Ever fish Lake George, Chromedog? I used to live in Jersey as a kid growing up, I would spend summers up at Lake George, I never fished it though as a kid and always wondered.
  12. I couldn't agree more, I am a car nut and usually on car forums, but when we have meets and what not, it is very segregated, but I guess fishing guys are different it seems. I am sure it will happen in any situation, but by the shear way this forum is run I see some quality guys.
  13. I just have to say: I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! I haven't been a member long, but I feel at home here. I posted my first serious question and I got serious answers. I mean down to model numbers and recommended combination's. Most forums I join, there is usually a lot of hating and telling people to do your own work. Although this is my first fishing forum, I really feel at home here. Now I am on the West Coast, but one of these years I am going to make it to Annual Trips you guys have. Just wanted to thank Glenn and the other Admins for maintaining and putting together a very quality source of information and community. And to all the quality members we have here. Just wanted to tip my hat off to everyone who deserves it. And that means you! Best Regards, BLee I hope this is an acceptable post, I am sure many others feel the same way.
  14. I just gotta say, I love you guys! When I have a question you guys are there to answer it. I am very glad I joined these forum boards!!!
  15. I will look in the curado e7, since I get to save 30% off each rod I am going to buy the reel purchase may come a lot sooner.
  16. Thank you!!! I also like the GLX models, I know they are more in price but it seems worth it. And thank you for the website!!!!! I needed that to save some money and at 30% off, I might be able to get my reel now!!! Update: I went to Ohya.com and I am not seeing the 30% off part or is this in cart? Also its weird because the MSRP to their Price is 20 bucks more. I would think its usually less?
  17. I have a great Spinning Set-up with that suggested spinning rod already for my light tackle/ finesse fishing any suggestions for another baitcasting set-up?
  18. So I am set on buying a few Loomis Rods: What I am looking for are 2-3 rods that can handle different types of fishing. So for example, a Senko Rod being able to handle jigs, worms, and topwater. I know this might not be the right combination, but I am looking for 2-3 rods which can handle a few different types of fishing styles. I can just afford 2-3 Loomis rods. I know it is better to have like 6-7 rods, but I rather not. I don't want a rod for each fishing style, but rather keep it to 2-3 rods. Any suggestions would be much obliged. Types of Fishing I do a lot: Senko, Topwater and Spinnerbaits. But with medium swimbaits and crankbaits. And I do fish areas with a lot of cover from time to time. Reels I have Shimano Calcutta 200GTB, Abu Garcia Revo SX, and I will pick up a third soon. Thanks in Advance Guys!
  19. All were taken with my Blackberry!!! My try at creative photography Belly Boating in the Summer this is around 8:45 PM I really like the color of this bass from the Sun's Relfection
  20. Hahaha, its funny to me cause I know exactly what you are talking about. I actually got interested in a lot of this from CSI, funny enough like 5 years ago.
  21. I like that a lot in fact!
  22. Wow! I hope to catch one that big soon!
