Caught a seagull once, I throw a rapala floating minnow and I think if I remember correctly backlashed and I was picking it out and then it swooped and grabbed it. I immediately cut the line and had to drag it in, that sucker wanted my fingers. But I got it off of him.

I don't have experience with the Cabelas Guidewear, but I have bought other Cabelas Clothing, Jackets, etc for many years and it is top notch stuff, so I do not doubt that the guidewear will satisfy you needs. In many ways I might add

From Today's Outing, I found this Community Pond right off the freeway in my hometown. Pulled over, 5th Cast in grabbed this guy. Lipped him as usual.

I think reels are meant to be used not looked at. It would be a different story if it was broken. But if you like it and it still works, and all it needs is a tune up. I say go for it. I still use till this day Ambassador Reels from the 1980's. Great quality, still casts long.

I rather go for quality and something that will last. Anything columbia makes as a shell that is waterproof is good for me. Go to SportsAuthority or some sporting good store usually cheaper during this time of year because of the the winter sports.

So I have read numerous articles and the Article about etiquette. I have been fishing for years, and want to possibly start doing this co-angler thing. Now I live on the West Coast, and I don't see many tournaments. Any advice on how I would start trying this out. Any direction would help guys. Should I join a Bass Club? Where would I find information about Bass Tournaments in my area? Do you need experience?

its on there pretty good. I actually put it in the oven at 200 degrees for 5 minutes. I think thats what changed the color a bit also.

Well finally done, took me about a week to finish. Let me know what you guys think. Not too shabby for just a few cans of paint.
