Caroline Pines 3.8 On A Crankbait (Pic Inside)
I went to Caroline Pines today. I got on the water about 6:40 and Left that particular lake around 2. The water temp was 64-65 degrees and stayed at that temp through out the day. It stayed chilly and cloudy for most the morning and I don't think the rain came in till 11:30 maybe? I manage 7 bass on a Bandit200 Tennessee shad. The biggest was 3.8lbs my biggest on a crankbait to date. The others was small, no bigger than 8". I lost 1 on a Colorado spinner and it was my only hit on a spinner, lost another on a Rapala skitterwalk. I couldn't buy a hit on wacky or a buzzbait. I moved to another lake after 2 to 4 which I only landed 2. 1 bass and 1 sun perch. Both on the Bandit. The temp there was the same 64-65 degrees.

This Has Probably Been Done To Death... Carrot Stix
No problem! I tried to search for other opinions and just pulled up those 2 for now. If still unsure I would continue to search the forums.

This Has Probably Been Done To Death... Carrot Stix
There is a few members here who love em. I have 7'6 H-F I use for frogging. Mine hasn't really been put to a test but I did lose a monster yesterday on it. Only problem I have with them is that the handles should have been wider. It cramps my hand up and I know there is somewhere mentioned here in the forums of how you can fix it. I know I read rescue tap worked. Captain Shane who is a member loves his Here is a thread on opinions by other members as well http://www.bassresou..._1#entry1082484 Here is also the topic I started a wild back when I bought mine

Split Grip or Full Grip whats your preference?
I don't preferably care as long the rod is good and comfortable.

I Feel Really Dumb!
Lol I needed this today Bird dog thanks. But speaking of trolling motors one of these days I'm going to end up in the water cause of my stupidity. I'll set it on 5 to jet across the water just to get to a spot and forget. I'll stand up to fish just to step on motor to make a hard turn. I probably done this more than 15 times already. I am glad that all it was Bird dog!! Have you taken it out yet on the water how you like it?

Women who love fishing :)
Same with my wife she got 3 setups a tackle box and we try to go as much as we can together. I love it when you go together to spend time with each other and just love fishing. She really enjoys buzzbait and Chatterbaits.

Walking The Dog, Thanks Fellas Actually Caught A Bass Today
When coming to my Rapala skitterwalk I also use braid since I'm usually fishing over structure or around cover. My lure seems to walk naturally from a slight twitch from rod with slack line. I was even walking it with my 7'6 H-F CarrotStix yesterday. Sadly I also lost a monster as well.

Need Help In Choosing A Rod And Reel!
Samething happen to my brother's brother- n- law guide series reel. So I don't trust guide series brand but I do have a GSX tournament combo and a GSX Titanium reel that I like. both. It's just the Titanium writing is like painted on so it will rub off but it's so far very smooth.i have several Bass Pro brands that I like as well. I think I'm going to get the E21 carrotstix if still have mine in and if the sale is still on in 2 weeks when my gift card comes in. Other than that I'm not sure at Gander Mountain I might give the Veritas or Elite ll a try but if cash is the problem the Berkley Lightning rod is highly recommended here and is only $40 http://www.cabelas.com/product/Berkley-Lightning-Rod-Spinning-Rods/1304129.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3FN%3D0%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dberkley%2Blightning%26WT.z_mc_id1%3D43000000024303336%26pcrid%3D%26WT.srch%3D1%26WT.tsrc%3DPPC%26WT.mc_id%3Dgoogle|fis_Rods_general|USA%26rid%3D20&Ntt=berkley+lightning&WTz_l=PPC

Any Va Members Fish Lately?
Went to Caroline Pines lake today from 6:30 to 1:00. I manage 8 bass and 1 crappie. 6 of the bass and the crappie came off a bandit200. Other 2 bass came off wacky. I lost a 2-3lber right at the boat and I had a monster bass on Rapala Skitterwalk but lost that one too as soon as I seen the body. Snakes are out!! About 4'-5' long.

Whats You Favorite "big Bass" Lure?
Buzzbait has done it for me so far which went for 6.4. The 5lb in my Avatar came off a 6" wacky senko.
