I must be to excited for today cause I'm up and couldn't sleep last night. Me and the wife is going fishing and this will be the first time this year the wife is going. I have a berkley from walmart for $20 that's pretty good I do think it is a few ounce off now but I think my batteries are dying. Just weigh use to a gallon of milk if the weight from answers.com is true. Whole 8.6, 2% milk 8.4. I weigh my gallon of 2% and got 8.10 so mine must be 6 ounces off if those weights are true.

I'm taking the wife and we're going to a neighborhood lake and I was thinking about some cranks just not sure of color. I have right now a Bandit 200 Tennessee Shad on but wondering if should switch to blue gill? This lake I'm not sure what brem it has besides maybe bluegill, perch, and crappie. Or should I try the yellow perch? I have that in a Rapala DT6 and DT10. What colors cranks everyone having luck with? Also will be tossing some Spinnerbaits, Chatterbaits, and wacky worms. I'm dieing to catch something on the Hot tip Chartreuse spinnerbait. Anybody had any luck with this color? This one here

Tomorrow I'm taking the wife and we are going to Caroline Pines lake. With this nice weather hopefully we can catch some bass. I got her the new BPS Extreme spinning combo for wacky on valentines day and I hope she loves it. This will be her first time using the new combo. I'm looking to having a great time with her tomorrow. We kind of got a scare today by the drs saying she might be going into a miscarriage so we had to setup another sonagram. Luckily we got one today to not mess up tomorrow and the news after that was much better. The radiologist said everything looks fine beside a few little things dealing with the wife's PCOS. Hopefully everything stays going well and we will have our second child. Friday the wife is going on a field trip with our 4 year old for school. **** luck to any going out tomorrow or this weekend!

WHAT!! I guarantee you if you mention that here is your option and that price. Everyone will tell to stock on a couple if can. I would at least try to get two 6'6 M-F and 7' MH-F for that price. There usually $40 to $50 a piece.

Don't be afraid of a chatterbait or spinnerbait. I like colors like ghost shad or white/ chartreuse!! When I fish small ponds a 3/8 chatterbait is all I really throw. I just walk the bank and fan cast, while trying different retreives.

The Lightning rod is post to be one of the best bang for it's buck!! Do a search and you will find out about the Lightning, it has be recommended and talk about allot. How much is on sale for? You might find some info in here like this in the search bar From what I read as well when the topic comes up most say they don't like the shock.

Others oppinion will be different but depending on what you starting off with like plastics. T-rig, wacky, shaky I would just start off with a spinning reel. You can also toss light spinnerbait and chatterbaits depending on rod. I have 7' M-F spinning that I use for 3/8 chatterbaits. I also use spinning for popper lures. I caught a 3lber yesterday at a pond on a 3/8 white chatterbait with a live magic shad as trailer. Me only fish for the day and my first on the year. My buddies was just worm and bobber and caught a few crappie.They got nothing on the medium minnows I brought. Sadly I lost my chatterbait yesterday as well must be a tree in that pond. We was bank fishing.

For plastics June bug, watermelon red, Green Pumpkin, black blue swirl or laminate. For wacky Plum Apple. for cranks blue gill, any thing shad from sexy shad to just black/ gray.
