  1. I'm with the Bandit200 and Rapala DT's
  2. It's I'm not even sure I'm doing the let them take it then set but nothing there, lol. Some are miss like my Dep's frog which acts like a buzzbait. i guess it's just one of those days. Thanks for saving your post and congrats on the 1,000 mark!! I got two spros I need to repair. My leopard spro got ripped last year.
  3. Just back from fishing Bowies pond. The water was 65 to 64 degrees. With the perfect cloudy day I thought I would give the buzzbait a try. I landed a small pickerel and lost a 2lb bass the boat. I also landed a small bass on wacky. The lilies are coming in nice at Bowie so I even tried some frogs just couldn't seem to land any. They was hitting the frog just none hooked. I have to repair my Spro since I think a pickerel or bowfin did hit. It has a cut in the frog. How can you repair this? Just super glue?
  4. I'll try that. Usually I just toss it out, reel it in.
  5. If me probably 8# Sufix elite in green for wacky.
  6. The Black Max says 15lb max drag. http://www.abugarcia...s/max/black-max My wife does own a Black Max that she does love. She uses hers for spinner, chatters and buzzbaits. So good luck if go with that choice and I wish you the best.
  7. Thanks for posting and congrats.
  8. Agreed and I even like elite for topwater poppers and in green for wacky.
  9. Nice and great start for you both! Congrats!
  10. I don't know much but I would like to think that frog's or the slops on a black max would put allot of stress on that reel in cover like lilies. I could be wrong. Good luck on your choice and wish the best. For me I use a 7'6 H-F E21 Carrotix, Browning Citori reel, 50# Sufix 832.

Like retiredbosn said but wacky is the way I go with 3/8 heat shrinking tubes Check link for photos. http://www.bassresou...-shrink-tubing/ Other than wacky you could do T-rigged and fan cast the area.
  12. That is great. Yea we do meet and greets here in Va which is always great. Nice post.
  13. Thanks for the post!! I'm still trying to land something off the spinnerbait.
  14. Congrats Paul!
  15. Today did not go accordingly to plan or even go well. Got up at 6:00 am and when got to Smoots I help out a fellow fisherman there that was with his wife. His trolling motor wouldn't unlocked, so I out my Rem oil(only oil I had) he sprayed it and we finally got it unlocked. Nice couple. Put tools away, jumped in car, backed car down and dropped boat in the water. Went to pull out, dead battery. I've been having problems with this battery ever since I bought it a week ago. Finally got it to start after jumping off one of my boat batteries. Well car started and again went to pull out car is stuck. Just spinning off the gravel rocks they put down. Grrr. No matter what I tried no luck. I just left car on ramp and fish till my buddy came about an hour later. No hits and time to get car out as he pulled up. My car tires was like slicks after I got home so my wife took car to get new tires. What a morning!
  16. No hahahahaha But I seen his age, where he is from, and where he likes to fish. I at least thought y'all might known each other. If not who knows.
  17. Welcome to the boards! I'm a sufix fan myself. You remind me of another 16 year old here lol.
  18. http://www.bassresou...line-and-knots/ - post in here for help about reels. J Francho, DVT, and others will be glad to help and welcome to the board!
  19. Tom D is can up the date into till 24th maybe? I'm going out tomorrow and sure I'll see something out hopefully.
  20. Great photos!! Release safely caught yesterday 3/15 sorry.
  21. Thanks and I hope so!! I will get those colors along with PB&J.What color Cranks you think? Right now I'm rigged with the Bandit200 Tennessee shad But I do have Baby bass and blue gill I also got other styles of cranks and colors like a sexy shad and green perch, etc. And topwater frogs would be pointless you think?
  22. I don't have any banana color jigs but do have green pumpkin trailers. Most of mine are black and blue and do have 1 green pumpkin but I think that is grass jig so not sure how it will handle trees or wood. Far as spinners and the buzz I got those colors you mentioned.
  23. Where I'm going is about a 90 acre pond and the deepest is 12'. The pond has structure trees on the side of bank and lilies through out. Where the lilies do grow,This brownish grass usually grows within them. Now the pond is pretty clear through out the middle of pond but does have drops from 3' to like 8' or so in spots. I'm thinking of trying cranks out there unless buzzbaits work since it's post to be partly cloudy and 76 degrees. If buzzbaits don't I'll just go to my spinners and chatters. I'm also going to jig the trees. I wouldn't mid trying a spook like lure if topwater is on.
  24. So you think bass will enter the sprouting area?
