  3. Welcome to the board Soulgasm!! Any nice size Crappie?
  4. Good luck and looking forward to the report!
  5. Nice quanjig and sorry to hear Ej.
  6. Same here Ej. Me and my brother went out today on a neighborhood lake around 8:00 till 11:30 maybe and the same not even a bite.Tthe water temperature was 42 degrees this morning and by the end of us leaving it reached 44 degrees. I tried 2 different spinnerbaits, and a wacky worm. My brother tried wacky, T-rig, rattle trap, and couple of different crankbaits. It was nice to at least get out and try. I notice they removed some of the trees and brush in the lake that I fished during the fall, I wonder why? The geese must of said the water was too cold as well they waited till 10 to get on the water lol and there were 2 beavers out and about on the lake. I'm not sure when I will get back out but do, need, and haven't yet tested my motor on open water yet for my jonboat. I need to get over to AP Hill and renew my fishing permit.
  7. Oh I'm sorry Wayne I meant lakes in general. I should have been more specific.
  8. With this weather and the rain the other day me and my brother are thinking about going fishing tomorrow just not sure if should hit a lake or the river? If you had a choice which would you prefer and how would you go about fishing either or? Tonight dropping to 32 and tomorrow should be in the 50's partly cloudy I think in the afternoon. How would Spinnerbaits, Chatterbaits Cranksbaits, or wacky work? Also those who been out with this weather like this what depth are you finding LM?
  9. Nice photo and thanks to you and this post I had a dream catfishing with my carbonlite...... No lie! lol
  10. I have a last year model 7' M-MF Crucial crankbait rod rod that I like allot.
  11. Just curious and not doubting you but any pics of the catfish? The rod does seemed highly recommended around here.
  12. THat is some addicting coffee right there. My wife is bugging me for us to get one. they have a blueberry flavor I think that my wife loves.
  13. I cannot stand any GNC products! The stuff I was on before was OxyElite Pro, Kre-Alkalyn 1500 by Sci-fit(creatine),Optimen multi vitamins by ON, and for shakes 100% natural oats & whey by ON(Optimum nutrition) I only like 100% natural shakes cause all the weight gainer stuff like muscle milk(contains MSG), GNC brand, Up your MASS cause painful stomach pains cause of the high carbs and artificials in it. I was also drinking Xtend Aminos powder mix. A guy in Vitamin shoppe got me into these brands. Then I did my fish oil, can tuna fish,
  14. Raider Nation here you go @};- Happy Valentines day everyone!! What did you get thesignificant other? I got my wife the new 2012 BPS Extreme spinning rod ETR70MHS 7' MH-F and the Extreme spinning reel EX20B as a combo set. I kind of like the green for the spinning reel this year. I also got her a small heart shap box of Hershey kisses, a card, some fresh cut tulips, and a Valentines throw blanket with pillow. Here is the link to the New Extreme rod and reel. Hopefully she will like it for Wacky and T-rigs. http://www.basspro.c...05011833/268872 For me a shirt, a card and if she wants she can claim the Remington 870 Express 12 gauge with a 28" barrel shotgun. My first time owning a shotgun too so I hope I like it. This looks like the one I'm getting.
  15. I was at our BassPro yesterday but they didn't have the new Carbonlite spinning reel in. I was ready to check it out and get my wife for Valentines day but since our's don't have any in I'm thinking about picking her up the new Extreme rod and reel. I just can't believe the new Extreme rod goes for $99 now. The new reel felt nice also and I think my wife would love it.
  16. Maybe this can help Bass Rod Buying Guide http://www.basspro.c..._32921_TITLE_50 For like my Setups I have Baitcasters 7' MH-F Carbonlite for spinnerbait and buzzbait. I also use for my walk the dog lures. 7'6 H-F Carrotstix for frogs, 6'6 MH-F PQ rod for pitching, 7' M-MF Crucial for cranks, Spinning 7' M-F Citori rod for 3/8 or lighter chatterbaits. I just love how it handles chatterbaits. 6'8 M-XF Carbonlite for shaky, My other two are one of those Gander Mountain combo sets so the rods aren't the same when buying the rod only off their shelf. 6'6 M tournament combo for topwater like poppers, I was using this for wacky last year and held up great. 7' MH-F Titanium for T-rig/wacky maybe haven't tried it yet. These are my rod setups and I like them for these purposes. I tried the Titanium since it's a MH with chatterbaits last year after I bought just didn't like it for that.
  17. Another voter on P-line CXX. I use 15# for my buzzbait/ Spinnerbait setup. I have 10# Trilene flouro on my crank setup and no complaints so far on either products..
  18. I'm looking to get a nice spinning rod/reel for the wife so she can use it for wacky and T-rig. I like the new look of these rods and the new reel felt good but wonder if anyone gaved either one a try? I'm hoping to get her something for Valentine's day. I thought about going with the 7' MH-F rod for her. The combo goes for $139. and I'm trying to not go over $150 for both. I wanted to check out the Carbonlite spinning reels but not in store yet. This is the new Extreme rod- http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-XPS-Extreme-Spinning-Rods/product/11092205011617/262721 The new Extreme reel- http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Extreme-Spinning-Reels/product/11092105011328/261208

  20. I'm not sure what the price is in SC but hey if only a couple of bucks why just not go with both? At least nothing hitting the mediums you have the smalls to fall back on or with multiple rods just toss them both out?
  21. Yea Aluma-Bass to far for me lol but thanks. I did for now go Nitrofreak route with the ethanol additives for now. Another guy I was talking to as at Bass Pro was telling me another of another way to be sure of motor is to pull the gas line off and let the motor run out the remaining gas. Ever heard of that? On another note I can't believe the prices of the plastic tanks and rimer hoses. For my bigger boat I paid $60 just for it's 12 gallon maybe 6-7 years ago. Now the 6 gallon range in the price range WOW! Cheapest primer line I found was $35 I think on sale at Bass Pro yesterday. Hopefully mine still good, knock on wood!
  22. Spivey-to make sure I'm clear and understanding you add the additives each time you get gas along with the oil? Both Ring free( I guess for ethanol) and marine stabil? You think should be wise for my Johnson 7.5? I did install a fuel filter I got from Walmart above my primer pump going towards motor. Is those any good as fuel filters the one you buy in the marine aisle at Walmart? Also about Addie additives to 2 stroke engines do you stay with the mixture of oil recommended for your motor along with adding the additives?
  23. When it comes to the additives how will that apply or affect 2 stroke engines, mix tanks, and lines?
  24. Yea I'm going to look into those separator just not but will out how to rig for my outboard 7.5hp motor. I did get a cheap fuel filter today. Do you know the law far metal gas tanks here in va? I have a 6 gallon but not sure of law on them? My only plastic tank is 12gal not trying to use that on a Jon boat.
