Congrats on jig fish. I had my first one last year just to get it to the boat and watch it jump off before I grab it. Nothing big but still hate the fact. It was my fisrt and last that I caught on a jig.

That's one of the greatest things about BPS, Gander Mountain, and Green Top being all relatively very close to each other. Then there's Dick's right up the road from them. The Fair grounds is only 15 minutes from my house. I will try to get out this year myself since I never been to one. Only thing I am mad at is January is far away from now. Now I have to wait for this and the new River Monster episodes. Patience is virtue they claim.

If they (BPS) still have it for clearance, the Browning Citori originally 99.94 and I paid 47.88 for mine. Mine is a 7' M-F 50 million PSI graphite. Line weight 4-12lb, lure weight 1/8-1/2 oz. They had it in 6'6 at my store as well. I got mine paired with my Pflueger President XT. I like the rod used it yesterday wacky rigging. I'm not sure if what you like but a thought. Pure nonsense is right. It's like buying gas at the busiest local truck stop/gas station. You're going to get fresher gas because of the high volume turnover. Now that a new one to me! haha

Now that is true!! I do have a problem with the side mounted hook keepers like the one on my spinning Browning Citori rod. My line keeps getting wrap around it.

If Carbonlite rods have the same hook-keeper design as the Extreme and Bionic Blade rods - I love that design. Wish the other rod companies would shamelessly copy it I actually like the split grip for the Carbonlite. the handle long enough for me to not tell. I also don't mind the hook keeper but I'm not to picky on those.

I know I love mine though I have the Carbonlite reel too with the same rod as yours and 12lb flouro on mine!

I was at Gander Mountain and they have the Power Pro braid in 50 lb test 150 yards I think for like $18 to where Wal-mart has theirs 50 lb test 150 yards for like $12.96 and BPS has theirs 50 lb 100 yards for $12.49. Is the Wal-mart brand no lesser quality than the others?? I was just wondering cause I might pick up a spool for frogging.

And here I was looking in the store for weedless attachment for hooks!! Haha, I was going to to try the weedless after you mention them in my wacky O-ring topic. Well now I know why I couldn't find just the weed guards. Don't I feel............................

Those Owner Wacky hooks seems to be a top item too. I went to Gander Mountain yesterday and they was gone! those and the finesse wide gap weedless. They did have those in 1/0 so I bought a pack of wide gap. I was also looking at the VMC's live bait hook that looks similar to the Owner's Wacky hook, has anybody tried those?

+4 on PQ. Also the Extreme is really good too. My wife has that one and loves it and it's her first baitcaster.
