Same here too. Younger I just go and fish. Then I got me a boat and got into other fishing likes cats and croakers. Then when broke down I got into bass fishing a couple of years ago. Got to say I love but do miss the other fishing too. Anyways nice fish and same here as pudmuck I'm sit in the 4 lb range too. I love me some ponds. The ones in AP hill are very good size and I can get away with traveling my jon boat on top of car. I would think if went on a major road would get a ticket for it not sure though.

Pitch the craws to the pads and trees...you'll tear 'em up. I have a pack so might try that. matthewj52001-i would add a spinner-bait to your tackle going to that pond. I fish a few different ponds that look similar and always tore them up with a 3\8oz white spinner-bait Yea I will give it a shot! I'm going to try and go back this week!

Talk about a nice first fish on the bug. Glad you got to save the fish. I wouldn't of known what to do. I need to pick me a jitterbug up, I haven't done it yet. I've been wanting to do some night fishing.

Hhaha You made sure he didn't get away. Way to go on the catch. I had a boss that told me when he lived in Florida, he dove in the water to get his bass out of tree underwater. Not sure if telling truth or not but me forget it.

And reason why I'm I afraid to swim at Westmoreland state park or Colonial Beach. One year had to be back when we had a hurricane cause the water was very rough and high. I saw I guess strippers with bites taken out at least foot or so wide. This had to be at least over 10 years ago.

I went to try a new pond in AP Hill that I've been wanting to try for awhile now. I got there quarter till 7 and stayed till bout 3:30 or so. I caught only 4 on the day, all on the wacky rigged. The biggest was 3.12 and the other close to 1 1/2 maybe. The other 2 was small. I tossed out c-rig smoking rooster, DT6, and a Ribbit but no luck on either 3. A few hits on the frog but nothing took and I had one monster smack too. The pond deepest point was bout 12' and it had tons of sunken trees and lilies. Allot of grass too. The middle of pond was very flat. I heard one huge splash across from me and I looked around to see if anything popped out the water just in case was maybe an otter or beaver but saw nothing. If was a fish I'll be back for em.

Yea I do love em. I would love to hook into a 8lber or more though. My biggest is a lil over 4 lbs. That one killed my Rage Tail Frog. I fought to get him out the lilies. My latest was a 2.5 lb on my 5' micro lite. They have a strong odor to them at least the ones I've caught.

I tried this. It seemed to work. I need to get my gas pump back from my brother and fresh gas. I really do think it would run then. I put a lil gas in carb and it tried to go just not enough to keep it running.

I would do the compression test if could get it to turn over. Just trying to do it. with battery good and all the wires connected, there's nothing from the ignition when turn the key. Is there a way to start motor without the key switch? I'd look for fuses I just see nothing. Might be fusible links but see no breaks or burns either.

battery is fine. Them motor is a Johnson as well I thought it might be the wiring plug since its different than the one on my original motor. But even so the motor plug still fits into my control box plug. Is there any fuses in the control box or will the ignition go bad if got wet? Cause it has been uncover for a while.

I've been having this problem with this motor for a while. It was a friend of mine motor and when he had it ran. He sold the boat to my brother's family and they never bothered with it. Now I got it to use on mine. I replace the starter since it was shot and did the jumper cable test to starter. It engages and turns the motor over but does not run. When I put my key in ignition I get nothing. So my question is there a way to get motor to run to see if runs or do I need the ignition key? If was a wiring problem to the motor would it still try and engage with jumpers to starter? To me it just seems to be ignition wiring problem?

Thibodeaux turned to Boudreaux and said, "Mais Boudreaux, how in the heck we gonna get across." I have a Sam's 1 mile down the street from me and boy, they are great!!! ;D But sadly I can't vote for them because they're not really national. Just Virginial Yea I know. Sadly as well we don't have one in Caroline county (Bowling green). Man they would be great here with their deliveries. Nothing out here does that, even the the China Inn. Roma;s is great also but no deliveries and the price is high. I don't dare eat at our Pizza Hut. So when I want pizza I either go to Ladysmith for the Domino's or Fredericksburg for Sam's Pizza and Sub. The one on lafayette by JJ's billiards.
