endless

i fish every sunday till couple of weeks ima huge nfl fan so got football. im ight slip in during the week depending on work if its raining i cant work so i might hit a local pond. i work to far and to tired to go out after work. i dont try to overdo it either have a wife and a 2 year old that i love spending time with. i will probably go more often when son gets older but that will be for both our enjoyment over him fishing. my fam never been a problem. my wife enjoys fishing when she goes but she doesnt like staying long and she doesnt mind have the time if i go she will just go to one of her friends and visit with them. my brother fell in love with fishing a few years back after he had his son. got into for an activity for him to do with his son cause he never cared for it but now the man is crazy so we go together alot. i went yesterday for maybe 7 hours and going this morning when sun pops out. the pond im going today is a base pond so their time limit from sunrise to sunset. im trying to give this pond shot agin now the weather has drop ten to fifteen degrees for all last week. the water temp has came down it was in the high 80s to 90s at times a couple of weeks ago.

same here i had them with minnows one spit the minnow at me.

the circle i tried for catfishing before and they never set themselves for me and i just dont like that curve hook point. for wacky im using octopus and wide gap, both gamas. thats all i got so im using them. wayne p been helping me out on the wacky rigged and its really paying off i caught my pb a 4.2 lber from his help before him i never used a wacky. any one over tried the owner wacky hook?? i seen it at gander mountain. i am curious to what others think?

im still working on the jig myself but where i go aint really no use for it. but glad to hear. at least you had a good day. i went today but didnt feel so well but tomorrow think im going to try some now the weather cooling off. did you take any pics??

man that sucks bout the rod and reel. sorry to hear that and your partner couldnt land ONE?? i guess you went solo!! next time make him your camera man lol. thats what i tell my brother. sorry to hear bout the 4 pounder too. at least on the good side it was a charity event so it had a caused. win or lose your doing some good!

sweet daddy, sorry to hear about the trouble. i have the pro qualifier and used it so far probably 6 trips for over 8 hours each and mine is fine so far. no problems at all. dont have to adjust the tension knob much either, i have mine lined with 30 lb braid too. maybe a bad reel but like your post on extreme 2 occasions i can understand the frustration. i never used the reel and thought about it before the qualifier but if i had the same problems on 2 or more occasions i probably be turned off too.

im with you two snappers and 1 painted this year. both snappers over 2 feet it looked like. one off the 5" senko wacky rigged too!! but other than that this year a bowfin (ragetail frog) and catfish (spinnerbait)

i think that snapper hit the watermelon red flake lol. only yum i tried so far is the bumble bee. i was catching them with it but just lil guys. but that what it was all day for me. but anyways good luck!!

i have a 40lb. thrust prowler. and i dont know of anything else like endura or motorguides though i heard mine was a motorguide. i dont think mines loud far as running wise just rattles loud. but i want to say that its my boat it self. i might have to do some reinforcing. i enjoy mine alot but of course its my first motor too.

lol, no I haven't played that in a while. No need now that I can do the real thing again!!! Beside my 4 year old is good at it now, dont want to get beat by a 4 year old. He already beats me at boxing and tennis. lol tell me about it. i no having your boat back gotta feel real good.

yea those are some nice size there. yea i would check the scale to be sure too. way to go nice ones. i went over the weekend my biggest for the day was an american snapper. lol he was bout 2 feet and caught him with a 5"senko wacky rigged. well thats my third turtle. two snappers and 1 painted this year.

man what a beautiful looking place. nice post. i wish my wife was into hiking like that. i know i what to hit the streams round i guess round wv this winter and learn to fly fish. would love to get a cabin for a weekend stay. now my wife would be into that so i just might have to check into a decent one. anybody round va or wv now of a decent spot with trout streams and cabins? please pm me

i get more madder when i have a hard time tying knots. for some reason i always let go of the line like i cant feel it. over the fish im like no no no. im learing to keep my frustration down more. well at least i havent lost no rods yet lol. i keep telling myself im out to enjoy the day. like yesterday i went i had to big hits that was gone i just cast back out in same directions. one of the smack my hula popper hard. biggest hit i seen so far on one of my poppers. went under i pulled the rod i didnt feel the fish but didnt see popper so started reeling and then there the lonesome guy was floating on top again. other was on wacky i was having hard steadying my boat felt a big tug and soon as i try to react gone.

and very good pics. its all worth it and with all these topics of fathers and their children fishing just get me more pump for when my son gets older.

nice pics wayne. yea i never knew about the island. i been near the d**n but not in the direction of island i was more to the right. is the water really 60 ft deep there at the d**n? i tried fishing near the rocks on the left of d**n too but just few small guys. do they allow you to access the 10 acre section across the road? my brother says he was told you can and i was told theres no access to it?? nice bass too in one pic.

basskiller i just fished there over the weekend for my second time and nailed me a four pounder. if needing any advice wayne is the man to ask he help me out there. told me wacky and thats what i did. i was though using my 5 inch green pumpkin senko. the only downfall i had for the day is not having enough to last. my finesse was to light for my pole and so was 4 inch senkos. my 7 inch sticko they didnt want. and for some dumb reason i dont know why i just didnt switch rods and go to my spinner for a finesse wacky now to come think about it. but just like wayne says weed edge thats how i got mine.

i like my 40lb bps prowler it goes for 129.99 the 55lb goes for 199.99.its my first motor.if had the extra cash i would went for the 55lb.

yea must be on sale cause the 40 lb thrust goes for either 159 or 169 i think at wal-mart one of the reason i just got the 40 lb thrust bps prowler for 129.99.
