The ice is gone! Im so ready... i fish so many little ponds in bergen co. in the old tappan westwood area. I have fished the pond in the ramapo nature center.. skunked is that place any good?

CRANKBAITS!!!!! I hate them.... As a landlocked fisherman of small weedy ponds i can cast it reel twice and then im hung up. I also dont like spinnerbaits, just not my thing :-?

I like to use little twitches, then when i come to a hole in the weeds let it pause and just give it a little action.

Last year i used scum frogs, senkos and power worms. HAd a great year, just wanna try somthing new. I think im gunna try some rage tail shads and jigs.

Hey guys, I need some help with picking out the right knids of tackle for my style of fishing. I always fish very small ponds, most have patches of heavy weeds, all the way to the surface. one i fish has no weeds just a muddy bottom. What type of lures do you think i should throw to catch these hogs i know are living in here?

Topwater and jigs are my best methods of fishing. For topwater, i like to use the zara spook or a chug bug i think its called, the best times for me are dawn and dusk. the color is black or a green. For the frogs, find some pads or scum i like to cast it, wait for it to get to a hole in the cover then twitch it for a sec, and let it sit. and good luck

What part of nj... up north is mostly all resovoiurs with rocky bottoms.

Im nervous about using shimano, in the past they have failed me and lost me a few big ones. But you guys seem to know what your talking about so i going to trust you and keep my options open.

Hey Guys, I am new here and new to the world of baitcasting reels. I am looking to try to find one for under $125. The type of fishing i normally is in small ponds filled with weeds, so i throw jigs and frogs, with the senko mixed in a little. all is done from shore. Thanks for the help CJ
