What lures/techniques for fishing Hydrilla/Milfoil?
Either a frog, or a plastic jerkbait like the SK Coffee shad or Slug-go. I approach both the same, t-rigged and weightless, run them over top, and let them sink in to any holes between the weeds.

Best line for soft plastic fishing...?
I like 15# berkley 100% fluoro

flipping rod advice
You could also look at a Daiwa Light and Tough 7'6" flipping stick, I think they're about $130.
-
ol monsters..
might be able to get away with a 4/0, but definitely a 5/0 is your best bet

Strike King Coffee Tubes
i got a pack to flip into heavy vegetation. love the way they smell, and they are absolutely covered in salt. haven't used them yet though, if they are anything like the coffee shad, they'll work well.

best colors for certain times!?!?!?!?
This says it all
-
best colors for certain times!?!?!?!?
green pumpkin or black and blue, unless you're talking about hardbaits where chrome with a blue black does the damage.

Florida-strain Largemouth
This is what I was thinking. But if there are males and females, I can't think of why they wouldn't spawn.

'09 Curado 200E7, Wow....
Which do you guys consider better for casting light (1/8-1/4 oz.) baits? Curado or Citica? Curado...after using the 200E7, I'm about ready to switch all my Citicas over to Curados.

Berkley Fireline Tracer Braid
Have it with all braid, but I've gotten used to it and don't even think about it anymore.

FLW Championship
Had a 3rd fish that didn't measure, and was penalized a pound I think.

Luhr Jensen 3/4 ounce Hot Lips.
Yea, they do leave a big hole, and I have some issues with the lure getting thrown because of that, but man does it catch fish. I crank with 10# fluoro so I have just no idea how deep the thing goes, but it pulls fish from the depths, that's all I know. I have good luck with the Crystal Crawdad pattern in the late winter, pre-spawn also. Haven't caught anything with the chart/blue back yet but haven't really thrown it because the threadfin shad pattern works that d**n well.

Luhr Jensen 3/4 ounce Hot Lips.
No other crankbait has produced deep bass for me like the 3/4 ounce threadfin shad. Not even close. It'll beat you up cranking it all day though.

Making the switch to braid
Fireline braid? I've finally gotten to use the 40# tracer, best braid I've used to date.
-
Making the switch to braid
For spinning setups, I like 15-20 pound braid because I like to use the smallest diameter line possible on spinning. I find I have way less problems with sub-8 pound diameter line on spinning.

Laser Lure
Did you ever try these out Sam? What was your take on them? i'm wondering also

Help me choose a cranking rod please!!!
x2. I have this exact rod for meduim to deep crankbaits. Though real deep divers would be best with the 7'10" rod, the 7'4 is perfect for meduim crankbaits. x3..I have it also, great for middle and deep cranks

Shocking a lake Question
It depends when the shock was. Prespawn and that 16 pounder is probably a 13 pounder now.

Making the switch to braid
yeah? that's not what i've heard but i guess there is only one way to find out. (I'll try that on my next new reel) Have you heard bad things about Fireline or Fireline Braid? I've heard nothing but good things about Fireline Braid. Will find out this weekend!
