whats the proper etiquette when fishing around docks. was fishing near a dock and a whole family was sitting about 45ft away in front of their cottage on lawn chairs. the looks of intense I don't understand are you doing killed my concentration. how should i handle this situation without resorting to my first instinct, which would be I don't understand are u looking at.

i use snaps on everything from soft jerk baits and crankbaits to worms. it makes changing lures fast and once you get used to the feel, they make no difference. i prefer the feel of a line directly attached because you feel more connected to the lure. but if you're not catching anything with that particular lure the quick change outweighs that benefit.

i don't understand their warranty. whats to stop a guy from calling them and telling them your rod snapped, send the $50, get your new rod and then not sending the tube back. raise hell when they harass you. seems they factor in fraud into their prices too. don't say prison because there could be a dozen reasons why the tube never got to them. disclaimer i don't advocate fraud.

how well does the tyger stainless steal tie-able leader hold up to pike. is it worth getting over the titanium or flourocarbon leaders?

with spinning gear you dont have to worry about switching hands after every cast and u dont have to lose 30mins untangling birdnests. which im sure happens to every baitcaster atleast once a trip. its funny fishing with friends on windy days watching them cast into the wind with all their strength only to have the lure drift back and create a huge birdsnest while you're slinging them like bullets all over the place.

what if it breaks casting a lure or setting a hook. then your out of luck. that's bullsh-t for a $400 rod. i hope this a$$hole doesn't start a trend. considering the guides and the cork are the cheapest part of a rod and that the whole rod can be melted down and recycled into a new one, kistler is out of his mind. this is just greed. why bother hiring new employees, pay salaries, shipping costs and all the other headaches when he can just pocket your money and not back up his product.

i heard that on sunny blue sky days you go for a dark underbelly lure to contrast the sky and the opposite on dark, overcast days. can anyone expand on that.

whats the best leader material to use when fishing poppers for pike. lost two poppers and one frog. used titanium leader but on the pause the leader sinks and causes the lure to point down. it also impedes the action.

don't like to use titanium leaders because i feel u lose action on the bait. what would be the min. pound test on a fluorocarbon leader that can handle the pikes teeth.

i've seen someone set the hook so hard that it drove a crankbait out of the water and straight to someones face. he managed to get all 3 treble hooks imbedded on his tongue and lips. he couldn't open his mouth and the amount of blood was bordering on horror. a 2 hr drive later and 15mins of surgery managed to get all the hooks out.
