It depends what Im fishing but I try to wait a couple of seconds to avoid an early of a hook set. Ive missed fish being to slow and to fast I have found for me that waiting has been more productive.

Sams advice is dead on. I fished as a new guy in this club and followed those guidelines and things seem to work a whole lot better for you.

Yea BPS and Cabelas run out of those catalogs early. I got mine in January.

I guess the way the question was written initially it sounded as though Cabelas did not offer a Bass/Crappie 2005 catalog. Oh well See what I mean ?

Then what copy of 2005 Bass/Crappie catalog do I have?

The Cabelas Master is almost all hunting. You have to order The Bass/Crappie one.
