If you know your knots good, then you should constantly check the last 2 feet of your line. Where do you store your reels? I called Berkley one time to ask why Iron Silk is such crappy line and the operator took me through all the variables that affect line. It was really worth the call. Iron Silk by the way still sucks.

Dark worms with paddle tails, Black spinnerbaits, Stik worms with rattles are really productive. Cast to the same areas you would in the daytime.

I have 3 ponds around my house and am having the same problem. Super hot water ridiculous amount of weed growth. The only fish Ive been catching latley are on Senkos in the pockets of non weed infested water and on the weed edges. The top water bite is really fickle also. I miss spring, cleaner water, no weeds and lots of bass.
