Anybody know where there's some lakes within 20 minutes or so of Boone, NC. Trying to find some good lakes to fish, I've got plenty of rivers, but lake are a different story. Thanks

Well if topwaters are a bad choice for this time a year, what's the best to go with? But next time I hit the water I'll definitely try some of the topwaters yall suggested. thanks

Yeah I've heard alot of good things about the Vendetta series. If I were to go with choosin all Vendetta rods, what rods should I go with to be able to do all fishin styles like i mentioned before?

With Christmas just around the corner. I figured I'd go ahead an start my Christmas list, and this year all I'm askin for is fishin stuff. I'm wantin to get some new rods and since that's all I'm askin for I know I'll be able to get a few. I don't want any one rod over 80 bucks so I can get more than one or two. Does anybody have some rods they could recommend? I' like for all the rods I end up getting to cover every fishin strategy. For example shallow/deep crankin, spinners, frogs/topwaters, jigs, drop shot, all types of plastics, etc. If possible I'd like one rod to be able to double up on it's uses, and not be just limited to one technique. Thanks for all the help I really appreciate it!

I've got a Falcon Medium-Light action rod. Does anybody know what type of lure is best used for this rod? I wana get a couple more rods for certain types of lures. A crank, finesse, spinner, soft baits, etc. Can yall help me out with choosing some rods that wont break the bank. All under $100 is possible. Thanks!

Can anybody give me some tips on catching smallies in NC rivers, like lure selection and where to cast? Went fishing today in Boone, NC and caught a few brown trout an one smallie. Not that I don't love catching trout I just love the fight smallies put up. Can anybody help me out??
