Anyone Not Care About There Combos Appearance Or Colors?
Life is too short to fish with ugly equipment. I plan rods around reels I have and buy reels to match rods I plan to build.

I've used them on a few builds. The rubber isn't all that sticky, so I doubt it will grab. The ID of them is 20mm. I'd cut the rod abut a half inch shorter than the desired length and sand the cork down to match the 20mm of the butt cap. Add some adhesive and you're good to go. BTW, they weigh about 1.25oz, so it'll help balance too.

Tag length. ......dictated by the fish. Anywhere from 6" or even less at times up to 4'.

I use a uni-uni. It ticks through 3.5mm Sic and 4mm Alconites just fine.

I start the day with 18'. usually have 12' or so by the end of the day unless they're really biting or I pop a lot of weights and hooks on the rocks. Then I'll have 6' or so left.
