Best overall mono fishing line?
I have become a fan of triline sensation. And im sorry, but i wont use suffix elite again. I bought it because it was supposed to have zero memory, but i found quite the opposite. Its a very average line, nothing elite about it imop.

Yo-Zuri Rattle N' Vibe
I see people saying they love these hooks on these things, but here's a heads up. One of the trebles on my rattle n vibe broke and is now only a double hook. It broke off in a snag, so it took a little pressure, but not too much since i was using 8 lb test line.

Tips for a fall newbie
Okay, let me sum some things up. First of all, im not implying that i got my liscense and now i fish by myself. I love to, but its not always logical, or safe. Next, i know that i could distinguish some bottom features, but i have a really tough time since its always windy and i have no electronics. All of the bites i had were in less than 10' of water, on what seemed to be weed edges. Fishin Phil- I am dying to get a les paul dc, but the money i would need just isnt coming! An one last question- should i be looking for bass grouping up? If i catch one is there a good chance there will be more there? Thanks.

Tips for a fall newbie
I tried deep divers along the edges and points, but didnt catch anything, but that could be because of color, retrieve, location, etc.

Tips for a fall newbie
Just got back from the lake. I was off on the depths a little. Almost ALL of the shorelines go from 0-20 ft. within 10 yards, and if it doesnt, there are an extreme amount of dieing weeds. We got a couple of bites on senkos, shakey head trick worms, and a craw on a shakey head. All fish were either missed on the hookset or threw us off. (its been a couple months since last time is was fishing) This is a tough lake all year, and these late fall patterns are killing me! Some guys caught some (including a hefty 5lber.) on medium diving cranks in about 20ft of water.

Cross Country State Finals- results
Every body on out team got a personal record, but our 4th fastest runner FORGOT HIS JERSEY ON THE BUS!!!! We had to count one of our slowest runners. If our one guy wouldve ran, we would have taken off 100 points or more, and placed in the top 15. We got 25th. I personally missed all-state recognition by 10 places. Top 30 make all state, i was 40th. I ran my best race yet with a 16:35 5k time, if you're not familiar with kilometers, my 3 mile time was 16:05.

Tips for a fall newbie
I have never fished in the fall. I just got my liscense this year, so i can drive myself to the lake. Before, my dad would do it but hes caught up in deer hunting. Anyways, this lake is usually very weedy around the shorelines. A majority of the water is deep, around 20 ft. or more, but im not sure because i dont have electronics on my boat. Most of the shorelines are fairly steep, going from 0-15' in about 20 yards. I did well in a couple of spots during the summer that are about 6-7' deep and have a different type of weed (a little thinner). There is a very well protected inlet with a creek, and good channels and coves. Any advice is welcome. Keep in mind i live in michigan, and the temps have been 40 or less for quite some time now.

now or later?
I have no idea of anything about the clubs around me. I dont know the schedual, when the meetings are, and whatnot. The one closest to me has a website that isnt much help.

now or later?
I am very interested in joining a bass club. The only question, should i join now (im in michigan, fishing is ending for the year) or around the start of the next season?

in your expert opinion
There is this lake i just love to fish. It is small, probably about 25 acres, and is absoloutley full of fish. This lake is VERY VERY shallow. The deepest point is probably 6 feet and you can see the bottom around the entire lake. Now here is the great part. It is basically flooded out woods. Trees are EVERYWHERE. Not to mention lily pads. The only way we catch bass are on tiny 2-3inch rapalas, beetlespins, and over the imense lily pad fortresses, using horneytoads. These lilies are thick. The only boat you can get in there is a smaller jon/row boat. Trolling motors are useless. I have caught over 20 fish a day here, but the biggest one i have caught in there might go a tad over 2 lbs. and they average about 12-13 inches. Seeing that this lake is super fertile, is there big bass potential here, or is it too overun with little guys. I have seen big 30 inch plus pike though.

Pflueger letting me down
I have had my pflueger trion for a full season now. I loved how smooth it was and the amazing casting abilities. But now that is gone. Its casting is blah now and it is no longer smooth. It makes a winding noise while reeling in and gets worse as the day goes on, especially when working spinnerbaits. I was wondering if this is because it needs to be greased or oiled, it did get wet once and i just took it apart and let it air dry. Any suggestions?

Weighted Fat Ikas?
ill add up to a 1/4 oz. in river currents and still catch fish. But i never use weight in lakes despite the wind. If the wind is too tough, try a tube

feeding my fish?
Believe it or not, there is a purina game fish chow. They look like puppy chow and the bluegill love them. We feed these fish in our pond. Fish chow for the gills and crappie, and minnows for the bass.

**VIDEO # 20** Oh man, what can I say
I must say that the clear water makes for some BEAUTIFUL fish. I noticed that when i fish on clearer lakes all the fish including pike, 'gills, and perch are colored better. Looks like our fall has been more brutal then yours. Its cloudy, windy, and rainy almost every day. And not to mention cold! Looks like your using shiners and jigs, right?

Going to state!
Our schools cross country team qualified for state recently. Thats pretty big seeing that we havent done that in almost 10 years, and we won conference for the first time in 20 years. Nobody thought we were that good, including ourselves. We placed 8th at regionals last year, and 3rd this year, which qualified us. I led the team by running a 16:50 5k (3.125 miles) and placed 6th overall. The state meet is at the michigan international speedway in brookland this saturday.

last two months of fishing
Lets see i caught one on a fluke a while back, um, it think i might have had another one here or there, hmmmm. Thats about it! I have only gotten out a few times, but manage to get skunked. I couldnt even catch any hammer-handle pike, or even any stunted bluegills! I think im losing it. :'(

Let's See Your PB's!
Its close between these 2 this one was caught in the middle of july, in the middle of the day. weighed 5-11. Caught on a buzzbait http://s46.photobucket.com/albums/f114/rocknfish9001/?action=view¤t=scan0018.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch17 didnt weigh or measure this one. Im guessing it is bigger. Caught it days after ice out im straight brown water (super muddy) on a pumpkin colored 5 inch dinger. One of the first fish of the year. http://s46.photobucket.com/albums/f114/rocknfish9001/?action=view¤t=bigfisj.jpg&refPage=&imgAnch=imgAnch1

super cold water
It is getting pretty chilly here in michigan, and we have had some crazy weather. It has been in the 30's some days, and just yesterday it was 40 and had 35mph winds. It has been like this for almost the entire month. Not to mention rain almost every day. The water is almost 40 degrees, and i was wondering if that is cold enough to make the fish head out deep and find the more stable water temps or watever they do. I have only gone fishing a couple times in the last 2 months, and cant find a fish.

Pond smallmouth
They absoloutley could survive in almost any body of water if it holds proper spawning habitat and is deep enough. So basically, a 10 ft. deep pond with rocks and gravel will hold smallies. I know a "lake" that we fish that is about 5 acres. We catch sunnies, largemouths, pike, and SMALLMOUTHS. They are actually quite plentiful

fishing TINY ponds
The walleye, pike, and catfish were put in last year, and have not effected the fishing at all. Putting bullhead in would be a bad idea. Those guys will spawn and choke out the pond. There are plenty of bait for everyone, and the majority of the bass are close to 2-3 lbs. and the pike is probably also about 2-3 lbs. and the walleye is about 1.5. The catfish has not even put a dent in the fish population. Besides the catfish, the bass are bigger then everything else.
