  1. Wooooowwwwwwwwwww this thread has really taken off. There are so many nicely setup combos. CONGRATS TO EVERYONE THAT SHARED THEIR PHOTOS.... I say we go use some of his sweetly setup combos and then go back to his house and have him mix up a few tastey beverages. I'm pretty sure that he can come up with a few, just look at the combos that he's put together.
  2. Lightweight, sexy and powerful
  3. Here is my little collection: Daiwa Magforce 7:1.1 paired with a 6'0" Ugly Stick medium Revo STX HS 7:1.1 paired with a 6'3" Vendetta medium
  4. That skeet reese rod has really nice grips on it and feels nice holding it, but that highlighter yellow looks hideous and it doesn't seem to balance as well as the vendetta. I can't wait to check out the BuCoo's though. I did check out the SR rods while I picked up my last reel. And the feel of it felt really good. But that big bright big bird yellow just wasn't setting well with me. I like the stealthy look of the Vendetta's, thats kind of what drew me into them. That look kind of reminds me of a F117 that is coming in on a mission, finds it's target, locks on and strikes. I know I know kind of crazy ;D Then the price, then the way they felt in my hand.
  5. Seeing pics is always a good thing. Everyone has their own style, flare, persona. Everyone has to start somewhere, and everyone dreams of having more. If people bump their gums about something that someone else has, they are green with ***. And also there are alot of keyboard warriors sitting behind their monitors/laptops, so don't let it get to you. I'll snap some pics tonight of my little collection, as I've only just gotten back into fishing this summer
  6. I'm not sure about posting gear pics, I got beat to death just listing gear in a signature line. As far as the cold, my fingers are still frozen from this morning, 33 degrees, wind chill was 28. I caught a small one on a rat-L-trap and a decent 2# on a black craw jig in 1' of water. I could'nt believe how much that fish was playing and splashing in the shallows in that those cold temps. Ahhhhh they all know you have the good stuff You are better than me. I went out last sunday to test my new reel. I could only take about 15 minutes of the cold north wind, but I was able to catch a lil 1# in that time.
  7. Post it....or you'll have every BR member outside your garage ;D
  8. When/if you pick one up, please report back to us. I would love to hear others opinions on this same stick
  9. STEEZY.....OHHHHHH STEEZYYYY!!!!!!!! I've seen some of your combos and I am like this each time How's it been going? I hate COLD WEATHER
  10. Man....I wish that I could have a trip that I could say that I caught 50 fish Very nice catch...congrats
  11. These are the worst. Cormorants. My personal name for these are WATER VULTURES....they can devour ALOT of fish
  12. My thoughts....Zebco 33 on a 6' Ugly Stick M. This will not break the wallet, and it can be used by the grandsons eventually if they really get off into fishing more
  13. Sounds like an awesome C-Rig or flipping rod. Does it have lots of backbone? I only have the 6'3" M stick, I've used it for alot of different applications, cranks/spinners/buzz/senko's. And this lil stick has a tremendous amount of backbone IMHO. So I can just imagine how the 7'6" MH would be
  14. That is Emmet Otter, he is just scoping out the next good place to have his Jug Band Christmas ;D
  15. If you want to spend $100 on a b/c, get on Gander Mountains site and you can pick up a REVO STX for $99. Alot of people have them and they all say they love them. This is normally a $200 reel, which is a good deal imho
  16. Paul, CONGRATS on your pb on light line. It is always a pleasure to see you catch these big fish time after time. I wish I had the knowledge you do when it comes to chasing the big ones
  17. Steezy.....very nice catches there. I've been getting my you know what kicked lately. I've been back to commons a couple of times, and have caught maybe 2, 1 pounders. And have gone out to Lewisville and the only thing I've hooked into are some Sandies. Very nice catches
  18. I picked up one today from GM. Can't wait to try it out
  19. I have this scale and it is a 50lb scale at Academy for an amazing $14.99. Sorry about the crappy pic, it was above my head and I was trying to steady the phone to snap it
  20. I've picked up a couple of their hard swimbaits, I did see them and thought the colors looked pretty nice. If I'm not mistaken, they have a 6 pak frog set that looks ALOT like the SPro frogs, anyone have any info on those?
  21. That is definitely a funny site. You can see from the look on her face here, that she is very skeptical of the fish flopping around
  22. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! I swear there is nothing better than seeing the smile on their faces when they hook into a fish and a bigger smile after they land it. These are memories neither one of you will ever forget and the bond between you two just got stronger. Now if I can get my little 4 year old girl to not scream and run away after she sees it and will not look terrified when she poses for a picture with her catch. Again bruh......CONGRATS
  23. I agree with the gammie octopus hook. On any good bite, to where the fish just doesn't grab onto the senko, I've had good hook sets. All basically in the corner of the mouth, or the roof of the mouth. With these hooks, I've yet to really get a deep down the throat hook set which allows me to get the hook out quickly and return the fish to his buddies so others can catch them.
