  13. nice link kidbee. yeah ive hoisted a 4.5 pounder in the boat with a carrot stick, didn't break but a year later i got snagged on a lily pad, gave it one little tug (not straight back which is what i've learned since) and it snapped right in the middle, quite loud actually. its funny cause i renounced e21 till i realized i was the reason.
  14. ANYBODY EVER CATCH ANYTHING WITH THESE WOOLEY HOG TAILS?
  15. through use? i'm just trying to justify buying another nice rod. is it possible for a 250 dollar rod to last over ten years? materials have improved so much throughout the years but still see pros snapping their rods and i know they aint usin the cheap ones
  16. i can't skip a flip with my BC, but i can skip like a madman with spinning.
  17. Colts were already guaranteed a spot in the superbowl right?
  18. since youll be fishing the brush its good to use either the sliders hjerk was talkin about or the screw in tungstens to keep it form getting tangled as bad. also its not completely necessary to cut the appendages. you can just snip the loops on the sides to keep em from catching
  19. when he was showing it swimming through the water and how it sinks slowly, that one bass just stared at it as it sunk past his face before he just turned and swam off. lol. theres your answer right there
  20. sweet. appreciate that, i was looking at those, just wasnt completely sure cause ive never fished with em. Just how necessary is a rod 8' long when flippin/punchin? i usually associate length with ability to cast far which isn't what i'm doing. i'm lookin for more of a vertical approach so i guess i could reach farther back into a mat but what are other pros/cons if any?
  21. i think it would just be a matter of preference as far as choosing spinning or casting, alot of folks prefer fishing plastics on spinning gear because of the ability to let out line quickly without drag, but im not sure i would fish a senko shakey head, they're designed to be fished either weightless or wacky. unless youre using the kutail senko.
  22. got about 200 bucks to drop on a flippin rod. would like it to be at least 7'10". suggestions? thanks in advance. ps- no carrot stix
