Just moved to Killen alabama outside of Florence. Anybody have any expierience/ info on this lake?

i have one spinning set up that i use for finese tactics. i would like to put yozuri hybrid on this rod but i was wondering how this line does with top water, i like to throw poppers on this rod as well. how does this line handle top water? does it sink like flourocarbon?

My baitcaster puts more line on one side of the spool than the other. Is there an easy way to fix this?

i'm lookin to put some new mono on my bait caster. what line would you guys suggest?

small cranks, like the SK bitsy pond minnow. rebel crawdad cranks. small jigs with grubs, i like arkies pre rigged ones, you can get them in very small weights, like 1/32 i beleive, pink and white was my go to color. Yum crawbugs with a jig head inserted into it, this is killer for small mouth, in creeks i used to fish. Keep throwin those inline spinners.

little off topic but, i hate when im gettin skunked while bass fishing and there are these huge carp just strolling by with in two feet of where ever im standing, pretty frustating >

do your homework, look through youtube and the web for as much info as you can find. I was in your position when I got my BC. I taught myself, you will be very frustrated but dont give up. It is very worth it. I started off by casting lots of jigs and spinnerbaits and working my way to other lighter things.

Im not looking for advice on what lures to fish from the banks guys, i was just simply wondering what every one else has been catching them on from the bank

Those are sweet, I use to fish strike king itsy bitsy pond minnow in a creek and would slay smallies, I would love to throw those instead im diggin the single hook on the back, those tiny treble hooks bend easy and get stuck on every thing, and break easy.

What have you guys had the most success with when bank fishing?

A couple of days ago I caught my firtst jig fish, I tied on a jig at home and used it the whole day. I caught 3 bass and missed a good one! I was suprised at how much concentration it takes when learning to jig fish, and how much patience it takes. I have alot of respect for you jig fishermen.

do you guys like rattles on jigs?

I'm a very young angler, and very amateur, there are lots of mistakes that I have made but the number one mistake is not being confident. When I started getting more confident when I went fishing, I started catching more fish and I fish alot better when I am confident.

I agree with Paul, very underrated lure, they catch fish and not alot of people use them. In-line spinners are also a very versitile lure, I have caught tons of fish with them in creeks and lakes.

dont give up, like has already been said sometimes the fish just aren't there, and always be confident when your fishing. When your confident you will fish alot better.
