  1. Never used the Daiwa but the Falcons are overrated in power to me. The H/F feels like a MH/F to me. Even though it is not in your selection list, I will recommend a Powell 705C. Amazing backbone, sensitivity and just the right tip!
  2. It is actually more for hitting specific targets with extreme accuracy and causing reaction strikes. This technique is awesome when fish are sluggish and have a very small strike zone. For example, there may be a fish holding to a small log and will not swim out to chase a bait. Pitching the lure right on its face will most likely trigger a reaction strike.
  3. IMO they perform just as well as comparable rods in their price range. Some say they are made for BPS by other major rod manufacturers? I don't use them because i hate the Power Hump handles!
  4. One thing to remember in stained water is that no splash is not always a good thing! Pitching/flipping is how i catch about 80% of my bass(LOVE IT). Every one of my fish over 9lbs has come while making a little splash on the entry. Also, always use the smallest weight you can get away with. Oh yea, get a 7' 6" flippin' stick and have fun!!
  5. Very Very true....................................don't stick beginner anglers with gear they don't need just to sale! Instead, work with them on identifying exactly what gear they do need. Before you know it, you will have a good rep with your customers and your boss.
  6. Braid, a flippin' rig and a craw lure should do the trick!
  7. Yeah, because frogs have much better hookup ratios than a single EWG hook! : If you know how to use it it can be about the same! The body of the Hound is very bulky and i just don't see the hook ups being that great. I think they are made to catch fisherman and it is apparently working!
  8. A frog can cause more disturbance in vegetation than the $ hound! Probably better hook ups as well!
  9. To many answers to this really! Different days/conditions different presentations. Hop it, twitch it, swim it or inch it on the bottom.
  10. My bro-n-law is the upside down spinning reel guy, lol!! I also witnessed a guy using a fiberglass crankin' rod that performed like a wet noodle to pitch a 1oz jig/pig in THICK pads!
  11. Abu Garcia Revo S no doubt! All the "beef" you need at a low price!
  12. Get some of the floating Ribbits so they have a little extra time to take it in!
  13. GOTTA LOVE FL MAN!!!!! NICE
  14. Definitely 7lbs man! AWESOME
  15. I would have to see that BM, LOL! I throw weightless plastics in cover on a Powell 704C and Revo STX no problems!
  16. The waters here in FL may still be HOT but we are starting to see lots of schooling fish! Today they had shiners pushed into a shallow flat and it was an amazing site to see! The top water bite is really picking up hard(Rage Tail toad).
  17. Maybe there is no need for plastics in TX but here in FL they rule in the fall! As soon as the sun gets high the fish either go deep or in the slop! There is no better way to target them than with a soft plastic worm or fluke!
  18. 3/4oz TT weight and a 4/0 Gammy EWG hook pitched in the slop!
  19. Gold/black back Excalibur XR50 lip less crank.
  20. I sold all my Spros after trying the R2S frogs one time! The are a lot easier to walk because of the belly keel and hook up percentage is way better as well!
  21. Same as my spinner bait set-up. 7ft Fenwick Techna AV MH/F paired with a Revo STX in 6:4:1 gear ratio spooled with 15-17lb Trilene big game.
